Hello one and all,

I am sorry if there is an introduction thread which I am unaware of and will keep this brief.

I am a 'scripter' rank on Powerbot however plan to join and start writing stuff for this site.

Why? Basically Powerbot is not going anywhere fast, Timer (the head developer) seems to not be updating the hooks and that leaves a few odd people doing it but with no coordination what so ever (which merits Jacmob saying of 'don't hold your breath' anytime soon). I wouldn't be suprised if smaller sites like 'tribot' are ahead of us in updating the hooks.

Why I bot? Firstly I only bot for 'pleasure' and would prefer that no goldfarmers ever used bots or that people don't 'multi-bot'. I guess the game has lost most of its appeal to me and now all the fun is in being ahead of it (the challenge involved in that). Also I have lots of work to do, so like to bot while doing school work as that encourages me to take my time and produce decent pieces of work.

Thanks for reading! Once i settle down and get my head around the basics I should be able to throw of some nice scripts.

He got a perm ban on rsbuddy a week ago for saying SCAR > RID…

Because he's not a nice guy. He has been banned at least on three different accounts here. He typically just talks nonsense. It's better to ignore him altogether.

Poor attitude, most of his posts were to bash Simba / SRL, troll the community and acting like a total retard making everyone around him hate him. While doing this he broke several rules and his reputation fell like a stone

Paris is the head. And he struggles to keep the guy under control… hint why 'rsbot 3' is not hosted on git by the powerbot bot account but by Timer's account.

By the way, TRiBot was made by TRiLeZ who is a developer here. It's really a pretty good bot, and I'm sure most of us here have nothing against people using TRiBot. :) TRiLeZ helps out a lot here, too.

I have keep all the various 'clients' and such saved since I first got into botting, so have had SCAR and the likes bookmarked for ages. I have no idea why I did so but has come in handy in light of the 'nuke'.

Why come to SCAR? Because you are one of the very few percentage wise whom use colour (<- I am English) recognition and thus work, secondly your very well established in terms of botting.

Welcome! The community you have come to is known as 'SRL', and we develop the SRL Resource Library. We used to support SCAR as our main IDE, but have since moved to Simba. Just clarifying a few things. I hope you enjoy your stay :)
