This occurs when I've got my keyboard settings on English (United Kingdom) but it works perfectly when I select English (United States).

When I have UK settings it types ~ instead of @.

So I have an idea for a fix. If you use SendKeys in Simba, you will notice that it does it correctly even on other keyboard layouts. I could add a function like SendKeysWait which SRL could then use instead. (The Wait to make it non-detectable)

Yes/No? We could remove a lot of code from SRL.

I don't understand, what does pressing left alt + left shift meant to do?

It doesn't do anything on Windows XP.

Thanks

Build a new Simba with wait parameter:

https://www.moparisthebest.com/jenkins/job/Simba_Stable/16/

I'd be grateful if someone could test it. (On Windows)

SendKeys('Hello, World', 100);

Also, I only just thought of this - perhaps a random wait time would be better? So a range of time to wait, I think?

Like:

SendKeys('Hello', 10, 40); // vary from 10-40ms
// or
SendKeys('Hello', 10, 40); // start with 10, add random 50. Ranges from 10..50?

The last one would be best. :) Keeps it consistent with i.e Mouse(); where rx just adds to the original x (Whereas this will just add to the original waiting time)

I thought about this. I'm not going to add a random wait.

Just do this:

program new;
var
s:string;
i:integer;
begin
s:='hooooi';
for i := 1 to length(s) do
sendstring(s[i], 10+ random(20));
end.

Why not export the functions that decide what keys need to be pressed. If I'm right, this will not work with SMART?

I've talked to BenLand100, and apparently SMART should always work in a way that SHIFT+2 = '@', regardless of the keyboard layout. We might want to confirm this, but if this is the case, we can just have SRL use Simba's SendKeys in a loop (like I posted), and use the old method for SMART.
