I am new to SRL and Simba (Scar)

I hope I make a valuable asset to this community, I plan on learning how to script for Simba.

Just downloaded the msi pack of scripts etc, I noticed they tend to miss a lot is this a script error or just a problem with color bots?

How does it miss some missing is built in as no human is 100% accurate. It might be on script still being upgraded from the recent update. Also welcome please check out the Introduction to SRL Forums Link in my Signature.

So for example I was using the Woodcutting script in the msi.

I set it up to cut in Rimmington, but it often misses the willows (It will be standing right there, but instead goes for the oaks/normal trees?)

Even if misses where built in, humans would not miss the actual type of tree.
Although it is nothing too large, it does get lost as well and just logs out.

I understand with reflection down actual walking methods are also down, which could explain the logging out.

Hmm might be the color changes from the last update. I'm sure the MSI Scripting Leaders are on it and should have it functional. Meanwhile try out a different area until it's fixed.

Welcome to the Forums.

Remember, if anything is buggy you can always post it in the MSI bug section: http://villavu.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=444

Yes, I will for sure post in that forum, and try other bots. Been needing 99 wc and firemaking anyway.

Honestly, I thought that is just the way color bots are. Last time I used a color bot was in 2003, so my opinion of them is far off than what they probably can do!

One thing that is kind of perplexing is, since it controls your mouse does that mean the chance of ban is near 0?

I don't see any possible way for Jagex to KNOW you are a bot, besides for actually coming up to you and asking.

There are multiple ways Jagex can check to see if you're a bot. But JAGEX is generally stupid and doesn't care about botting (except for the JAVA bots)… Don't worry, as of now I believe they don't know.

Ah I see thanks, I feel the problem with these types of bots are they are really hard to ban because gathering the evidence is rather hard besides for when the bot clicks in the same exact pinpointed spot every time, but most scripters tend to avoid that anyway.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, excited to join this community :)

Well we use randomization and all those technique's but if java wanted to, they could simply check to see the list of programs you're running. Of coarse there's many other ways … but many of them bring implication such as violation of privacy and such…

You welcome. Feel free to ask any questions/ post any comments…

Hi R4nd0m, welcome to SRL.

Ever since reflection took over in botting, colour seems to have been left to gather dust.
All that needs to happen (which I'm sure shouldn't take to long) is for the devs of MSI and SRL to go and blow the dust off and find any bugs.

Hope you enjoy your stay :)

I was snooping around and came across a few excellent scripts, my favorite so far being the "Legoace Robochop" has yet to fail me :) Besides of course in a random, which I figure is A) Not coded or B) Random prevention needs to be placed in the script in all areas a random could happen/at all times and the script writer only put the code in certain areas.

Regardless, excellent script and it is color only which I like :)

I hope to find more great scripts like this, only more 99's can tell :p

Hi and welcome!

Glad to see you find scripts here already that you enjoy, but give it some time and I guarantee you'll love it even more when there are more scripts out there and SMART is possibly back on board. :)

Smart works :), and even if it didn't I would do what I did for RiD.

Get virtual machine, put windows xp on it, install simba run the bot and minimize :).

Yeah that was my bad I've been away from home & botting for some time now, only checked BenLand's updated SMART some hours ago. :S
