MSI After 24th October, 2011 Update

Coh3n

2011-10-27 02:33:00

Since the item sizes were changed back to normal, ALL MSI scripts except runecrafting should be up and running again!

Quoted from another thread…
From: Coh3n

Basically, woodcutting, fishing, mining, and magic will work. There may be some odd behaviour due to the smaller items, but they'll still work. Money making and cooking won't work until there's support for smaller items. Runecrafting won't work because of the small items, as well as SPS doesn't yet have support for the RCing alters.

If a location doesn't work for a skill I said worked (above), please post it here. Reported locations not working:
  • Mining Guild (not yet supported by SPS).
  • Port Sarim Yews
  • VE Miner (buggy)

Please post any questions you may have here. We'll be working a lot tomorrow (hopefully) to resolve any issues caused by the recent RS update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,
The MSI Team

VEM walking is really hit and miss.
Often times when waking back to the bank it ends up south of the bank (between bank and magic shop) with a full load of ores.
Hard to get 3+ loads. Maybe something in SPS needs to be checked out?

Agreed. T'was working for me but its iffy.

The SPS areas could be off, or even the SPS tolerance too high. If either of you want to lower the tolerance (somewhere in sps.simba) to experiment, that would help a lot.

YoHoJo

2011-10-27 03:19:21

Will do tomorrow!

YoHoJo

2011-10-27 03:32:15

By how much should I change it? You said lower would be better correct?
    RUNESCAPE_SURFACE:
with SPS_Surface do
begin
Name := 'Runescape Surface';
Constant := RUNESCAPE_SURFACE;
ImagePath := SPS_IMG_PATH + 'runescape_surface\';
FactorX := 400;
FactorY := 400;
TileOffsetX := 2045.3;
TileOffSetY := 4159.2;
Tolerance := 0.3;
end;

Change to 0.2? 0.25? 0.275?
Idk how much it affects it :D

Coh3n

2011-10-27 03:33:01

I don't either to be honest. I lowered mine to 0.2 and it seems to still be working (I'm testing LSW Miner).

E: I'm probably going to remove/archive all Reflection related stuff in SPS/MSI tomorrow so there's no confusion among users.

All of them screwed up in some way or another. Either not knowing where it was (getting lost and logging out), walking wrong way, or home teleporting and running all the way back.
Will keep tweaking around! :/

It seems that ingame worldmap has updated, colours in Varrock are wrong, that is why it doesn't walk properly.

I may have to update SPS worldmap and areas, so it'll take a couple of hours. :( Meanwhile, YoHoJo you could try higher tolerance. It might solve the issue for while.

E: Yeah, walking at Varrock East is off.

Alright it's working on my regular comp, but it's still buggy. Takes a while to get to the bank.

with stretching it across 3 monitors it shouldn't be too difficult

A lot of walking is off. Drayon yews was working perfectly fine. But since I stopped all my bots and re-ran them they are all teleporting to lumbridge then becoming false and so on.

Maybe update the whole map?

I'll be using these images to create a "single" runescape map, since the last time it was made it was done by jagex and that was 50 years ago…

I uploaded them so someone can get to work with cutting out the pieces for SPS, these are all at "100%" size on the map so they're the same size the minimap is

You're doing it or should I?

with my screenshots it can be easily pieced together with <20 images

if jagex didn't limit rs's size I could stretch it across 6 monitors like old days and see further than the minimap displays :(

If you do the individual pieces that SPS uses, I'll put together the main full image.

oh ok, yea with those images I could put em together in like 10 mins for the full map, but if you're doing it that's cool

I think it's crazy jagex doesn't have some auto updated image that is just generated.. instead their image is what.. like 4 years old?

That would be fantastic. First piece is the most crucial to get right since there should not be any black on both sides of top left corner(if starting on top left). It's very precise task.

Actually they do. Everytime when an update(mostly on graphical ones) map is updated. So thank god that jagex don't do graphical updates every day :p

uhh did they offset the minimaps colors vs the full map? I'm seeing huge color differences now that I look at it…

oh I guess my two different RS's are just messed up or something

let me finish this map and then people can tell me it's worthless afterwards, at least it'll be out of the way

on top of that, the client doesn't CORRECTLY place its lines, so different waves are 1 pixel off from others, it's kind of funny..

LSW Miner ran perfectly for me last night for 6 hours (all I told it to). That's after I changed the tolerance to 0.2.

To the guys working on the SPS map, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE PIECES. There's a script in SPS that breaks the map into 500x500 pieces. All we need is the ENTIRE world map, then mapmaker.simba can be run.

@YoHoJo: Seems like the map was just outdated. Hopefully the new one will fix it.

So give it a try at different places and see, if they don't work report them here.

Odd considering that line doesn't access an array of any kind. When I ran it, it highlighted this line, which makes sense.

makeCompass(MSI_Locations[Location].SubLocs[CurrentPoint].Compass +
randomRange(-20, 20));
This is fixed in the latest version, thanks for reporting guys.

I believe that's due to the SPS map being a little outdated. It'll be fixed as soon as possible.

I've been running LSW Miner and it's running great. If you want iron, I would try Rimmington mine.

E: Started running RM Miner and it's going well so far. Not one person here. Gotta love bot-free (mostly ;)) Runescape. I think this mine is closer to the bank then VE. I'm getting some pretty fast iron.

My repo and the main one have been the same for weeks. What's buggy about it?

ALL MSI scripts should be working except Runecrafting, and any that are in dungeons (Guild is the only one I think). Catherby should work just fine, and the Fishing Guild would be a fairly simple one to add.

I am not experiencing any lagg at all. Though I have heard many lagg was caused by the update as of the 25th. It only seems to happen to people with certain specs, so I've read on the forums.

VE miner is in better shape, but still messed up.
Mining is fine, and it walks great from mine to bank.
Once at bank it (runescape) has the problem where even though you are not moving a flag is on the minimap. And MSI just sits.
I pause MSI, click once (to get rid of flag), and then MSI clicks south east of the dummy house (north of bank) and just sits.

:D So SPS is getting better, but still needs tweaks.

Nothing has changed in SPS yet that would affect how the miner works. I changed the tolerance, but I can't imagine that would have changed much. So you're saying when it's in the bank it'll click and walk to the dummy house?

Exactamento! All the problems occur once the banking process is initiated. It sometimes figures it out, but that just makes the Ore P/H less.

Can you post the debug? Maybe MSI_Relocate is messing it up.

The SPS_Areas and the actual minimap aren't that different so I can't imagine that's the problem; however, I have finished my script to automatically create the world map, so we'll have updated images within a few days.
