I wanted to get into the SCAR/Simba scene for quite some time, but never really got around to it. I figured now would be the time. As far as prior experience, I've made/modified scripts for RSBot, RSBuddy, and neXus. I'm currently taking a college-level course in Video Game Design, and would love to learn to code in Simba(?) in the meantime. Keep in mind, I'm quite the newcomer on this part of the playground, but I learn quick. You might be seeing my ask some questions around the forums ;)

Anyways, I'm hoping to put some scripts out there in short future. Things don't seem too difficult to learn, but we'll see. I'll need to finish setting up my Windows dual-boot before I really get started though.

Well, that's all :P

Welcome, and yeah as stated before, PascalScript isn't hard to learn at all. Come stop by the IRC sometime too :)

Hah, I kept getting errors when trying to run the installation of Ubuntu 11.04 (it was VERY new at the time), and decided I couldn't be bothered. Burned through like 5 CDs, made countless USB-boots, and received dozens of errors which couldn't be solved on the forums. I simply decided I'd just stick with 10.04. But who knows, maybe I'll get around to it sometime :P

And alright, PascalScript. Haven't used it before, but yes, I've heard of it. Thanks!

Welcome! keep in mind you can run simba + smart on linux, so it wouldn't be much of a problem to just script there if you prefer it.

Yeah, I've got it all setup on Linux (I think), but I've been needing a Windows OS lately, and figured this would be a good opportunity. Plus, I feel that it would reduce any bugs, errors, or compatibility issues I may face in the long-run. But thanks! I thought I was having issues with SMART, but apparently it was just outdated. I'll be fixing that in a sec..

Yea you should be good, the smart update is super easy

only compatibility issues with linux is the interpreter for pascal is windows (which is why it has to run in wine)
when that's changed it'll hopefully run perfectly without wine

and it looks like wizzup is starting to do that ;)
