How Long have You Played Runescape?
8 Year(s)

Are you affilated in anyway with Jagex LTD?
No

Were you Referred to SRL?
n/a

What is your general programming knowledge?
I took a computer graphics class and acquired some knowledge on how html works.
Other than that, knowing a language where i can understand 99% of it, i cannot say i do know any other programming knowledge.

I know how the concepts work and i can explain myself to a true coder for them to understand what im trying to say.
Example: my script suggestion
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63193

even scripters took the time to tell me that i had done a good/detailed job

Are you a member of any other communities?
I am a member on www.club3g.com which is car forum that specifies in the Mitsubishi 3rd Generation.

From: Carlito
My name is Carlos, i am from Princeton New Jersey. I go to school in West Chester, PA, majoring in Business management. I'm on my third year with this program and should be graduating 2014. I am a fully licensed professional race car driver. I love anything about cars/motorcycles and i find computer games very appealing.

I'm a very dedicated person as i've built my eclipse and it built my character within myself as to be patient for things and to know when you truly try hard at something - you'll be able to accomplish it.

I've played other computer games at a very high competitive level.
World Of Warcraft:
PVP: 2400 ratings
PVE: level 80 all heroic modes accomplished

Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts.
I do not have any script to show, as i am not a scripter.

Quoted before in a discussion me and Coh3n had before

"I'm not sure if your on irc but you can tell im not the smartest person with computers and theres times i screw up simba to where nothing to work and other people have helped me work something. Well i learned something and im there to help others when needed; information gets tossed around and shared more than admins/coders/developers see. "

"I'm a professional race car driver with strengths in drag and circuit tracks(fully licensed). I actually participate in a summer camp (for free) to teach people how to properly race and im always asked to share my techniques with others. For instance; my launch technique for drag to get a perfect launch is something that I've mastered myself, it doesn't matter who knows it because they cant do it as good as me. so what makes the difference from me not telling my secrets? it allows other people to expand and create there own techniques based on mine. Ive had good race drivers come by me where they picked up and have continued to pursue racing and others who arn't great race drivers because they cant focus there eyes while going 140mph+ or have bad reaction time. But they love everything about cars and become involved within the community of car racing and they help just as much as the people teaching the people how to master certain ideas."

Cool car, but I'm afraid although your point is fair about exclusivity to scripters, I think more contribution and evidence is needed.

Often the people who become members without applying (such as me, although I had applied before, long story, not related to this) help with other things other than just script testing. There are only a select few who are granted membership without applying (notice how I've mentioned not applying twice so far) who also don't do other programming, but it is still possible. It's important to keep in mind that we're a learning community rather than an autoing community, and so simply testing scripts isn't the number one thing that high ranking members (devs/ssrl+) look for for auto membering.

It's not something that you should really try for, or something to expect to happen, tbh. There are far fewer (I can think of less than ten) members today that didn't apply than did apply. It's something that can happen, but really only will if you can show that you learn quite well, are helpful, etc.

But anyway, just be polite, mature, and try to learn whatever you can. Good luck.

You need a script to become an SRL member, either that or you get chosen by the admins to become one (For example, the person who posted above me).

Q: What if they didn't post a script?
A: Report the post, moderators will deal with it. DO NOT spam the thread with posts or your head will be eaten!

I'm not really sure about a member, but you should be a Jr. Member. You have enough posts and have clearly been here longer than 6 months. I'll fix that now.

I don't disagree at all with making him junior member, but isn't it actually 300 posts and 6 months?

No, 300 posts is for the black market. You only need 100 posts and 6 months for the rank.

Basically what luffs said, if you can't script you have to be auto-memberized.
PS: SRL mems doesn't have any better scripts :P

Closed. Please read the suggestions(ie. at least try to script) Remember if you post a script SRL will tell you what you did wrong and how to fix it. It's too easy to get a members script now a days.
