SRL Archive - News and General

Heya. First of all, there's nothing to worry about; no one is planning to leave. I just felt like posting.

I've been away (as in, not active) in the past few weeks to work in my thesis and today was the deadline. However, all the other students had trouble getting their work done on time and the deadline has been postponed. Now, I've talked to my mentor and he wants me to take advantage of this extra time to do some more research and fix up some parts in my thesis/paper. I'll probably be working on that the next two weeks or so. Perhaps when I get bored I'll be here and fix stuff/comment where required, but it'll be at least two week before we move to other forum software. (phpBB3, and if that turns out to be a bummer, vB4 probably)

After that I'm planning to start running scripts again, probably starting by updating some old scripts and getting SRL 5 ready to replace SRL 4 with additional required Simba changed (I believe we need to extend out plugin framework a bit to allow importing classes and such)
Oh, and the script manager has been in a somewhat beta/ready state for some time now I believe; I just haven't looked at the latest contributions by mc_teo yet. Ah - and put some more work into SRL stats of course. The design (as in, CSS/HTML) has been bugging me lately, any ideas?
Ah.. and there are a lot of others things I want to do… All in due time I suppose.

I'm not sure how much time I will have after I finish my thesis, but I don't get to attend my master until august next year so I must certainly have some free time as I don't plan on taking a huge vacation. A fellow student and I have been somewhat planning to start our own small business and I'm not sure how much of my time that will require.

I wish I would be in the same position as you after like ~3-4 years!(but I am too f lazy to use my "resources"(brain?) as much as I could :/)

Well I sure hope you take atleast some time off to yourself when it's all said and done. You said you had roughly a year? That's plenty of time to get outta Dodge and have some "me time". Anywho, that sounds great about your small business idea you're planning with a classmate. Anymore info on that or is it personal?
