Hey all, I got this in my Email supposed from Jagex, but I don't think it's real since I haven't logged into Runescape in I donnu how many years, hell I can't even figure out my password or email to login atm anyway but

here's the email

Lol if it's real hell I don't even know what account it would be for since I have/had over 70 accounts plus 3 mains lol. Anyone else get one of these emails?

No it's phishing. Hover your mouse over the link and it'll not be runescape, just looks like it. If you logged into it, enjoy your bank account being wiped. :\

Since when do you have to fill in your email address? And would you fill in the same address for 70 accounts? ;)
The site's address looks legit, though. Pretty weird if you didn't play for some time.

lol that's kinda what I thought, namely since I didn't use that email for any of my accounts, lol dam runescape got crazy looking, reminds me of DND Online

we should make a script that just keep on submitting fake info to all those phish sites.

Very Intersting after changing my password and checking my account, apparently My brother in law decided to steal my account lmao or something since It says I am a active member and is billing my sister's credit card, now I gotta log in and see wdf he stole

I got the exact same e-mail in my spam folder in the last two days or so. I didn't even open it, but the subject line was the same.

I get a 5-10 of those emails daily after posting a junk email on sythe.org. It says a lot about todays RS and what people are willing to do just to get their hands on some extra gp. IIRC some people in the UK actually got busted for phishing and hacking RS (or some other game) accs.

Actually a while ago here in Finland some script kiddies got caught for stealing a bunch of RS and Habbo Hotel accounts through the RAT's they spread around. They ended up being convicted for a bunch of other serious crimes too, mainly because they recieved some peoples credit card information and they had also configured the RAT to send them images captured through the victims webcam.

How'd they get busted? Habbo hacking is as retarded as stealing from people's PayPals since there's a direct correlation between Habbo and IRL cash, since if you transfer from a victims account to your own, obviously whoever made the receiving account is to blame for the stealing…

IIRC someone made a police report and they had logged on the accounts with their own ip. addresses or transferred the items to some accounts clearly connected to their ip. address (or they got the ip's of the "hackers" some other way). Then the police searched their computers and found a bunch of illegal skiddie crap, keylogger logs, pictures of their victims and so on. It's a pretty sad example of how retarded most of these skiddies are thinking internet makes you untouchable.

i have a ip of one of them however it says it's in korea… -.-
