I'm mostly an 'oldschool' type of autoer. Have an army of 11, all with pretty much the same stats, use multiplayer (no breaks) or break decently often when using less than 5 characters etc etc.

Well (not so) recently Jagex cares not for individual botters, but bringing down the bots/communities themselves so people have been able to get away with autoing pretty crazily.

It's pretty much been proven you can auto pretty crazy hours/have a script fk up pretty badly/infinite loop and still be in the clear in most cases. Normally now you need a report to have jagex actually care to look into your account.

So my question is how long do you guys (meaning you guys who auto long hours/crazy :p) auto for without/before breaking (and how long do you break for). I've been stating to push my limits recently and I've been in the clear and I always hear about others botting like mad and not getting in any trouble for it. So I want to maximize my botting time while still being safe about it.

Post how long you auto for max before breaking and how 'safe' it has been for you. Info like how crowded the area is/weather or not you believe the people around you to report you is will help too.

I've had an account use the strongholder script for a few weeks.. with a few hours on / few hours off

haven't got any warnings or anything yet

I know a guy who botted 12 days straight and then took a day break.. and now just bots like a day takes a few hours off

been doing this for months and he has not gotten even a slap on the wrist -.-

Botting 3-4 accounts 24/7, I legit on all of them every once and awhile (quests, etc.). All I do is pk now, and as long as I pay membership jagex isn't going to do anything.

Sometimes I'll push 10 hours a day, but I only use personal scripts, which is why I'm so comfortable using only Simba. I found anything, besides Dungeoneering, I can write a script for, right here, in the most secure community there is. With this fact in mind, pushing a bot for this many hours a day doesn't cause concern for me. (And I do have alot to lose by the way).

On a semi-different note, I'm more into the scripts that don't give me advantages over other players, as I feel pity to other players (legit players, that is). Examples like woodcutting, mining, fighting… anywhere that has a limited number of resources per X amount of minutes. I know I have scripts that say otherwise like my old miners and Catacomber, but compare those to 80% of my scripts which, in no way, effect players around me.

I can see where you don't really have much of a choice being F2P armies. In those worlds it's constant competition for little profit, so I can understand that.

If I care about the account I usually try to bot less than 20 hours and then take a 10 hour break or so.

If I don't care about the account I could just bot 24/7.

On my army I normally go for 2-3 hours max on each character in a day. I do not exceed that limit and none of my army accounts are banned

If you really want to evade a ban, bot as much as you would play legit. I suicide bot on accs that I don't care, got a few perma'd recently.

I personally stick to 6-8 hours a day, and I don't bot over the weekends.

Lately I've been pushing my limits, like 20 hours with a couple hour breaks, I'm going to lay off of it a bit though, I dont want to get banned. But so far so good.

Just so it's clear, i'm not botting 24/7 since then. Just I started around then.

when was getting 80 dung on my main i got a 100 hour proggie (4 days), i also have about 5 accounts running for 24 hours at a time for breaks, but thats only because i get on there to sell their items.

It probably isn't as safe to 24/7 as it used to be but I am goinG to try it on a noob members account and see how it works for me

24/7 and im pretty maxed out too :/ Once i reach 99 Herblore, that will be around my 13th or 14th 99 skill. I plan to make a storyline of how i managed to bout 13 or 14 skills to 99 in 1 character and get over 500m :D

I always though about doing that I just wondered what happens if you get their account banned.

I generally bot until the script messes up. Usually 10- hours a day. I'll see how long I go once I get my yew script up and running.

I'm safe and go 8 hours a day. But I think I may push that to 12, I just hope it's not too much.

Botted 5hrs 49min then the system kicked me off lol, I got to install that upgrade that lets Simba bot longer and figure out a way to write proggy to text and then load it. That way I wont lose proggy due to the 6+ hour method.

I'll get some crazy proggies once I fix my Simba up =)

I normally try to bot for the most as I can!

I usually bot about 6 hours straight with 6 accounts rotating about every 30 mins. I also have them doing different scripts sometimes. and ill login in to some of them when they are out of rotation to upgrade items and etc. Usually for a total of 18 hours of scripting a day

I am botting every single skill to 99 easily. Botted 84-95 fletching in like 4 days should be finishing up soon. No breaks required.

Yeah getting banned is HIGHLY based on getting reported by others.
It even seems as if getting reported matters more than the method (how safely) you bot and the time length too.

I also tend to believe that Jagex doesn't bother checking every single account on a regular basis… That's why they have a report button in the first place :P

I actually play the game, but when I go to bed I start up a script and let it run. When I wake up, if it hasn't messed up somehow, I stop it. So about a maximum of 6 hours, to a minimum of maybe an hour. More, if I don't feel like playing, but still want to level.

I don't have an army but I have about 3-4 accounts I use. (Main, Tank, 1 Def Pure, Barrows Pure) I try to get as close to 24/7 as possible.

I have a few accounts going at once but I don't bother with the 6-hour fix. I like the idea of having a cap on my botting. That said, I often run two six hour cycles a day.

Usually 2/3 hours on the regular army per Player plus one "special" Player I memberize and boost to 99 with whatever skills pleases me; usually 10-12 hours a day. Has been strategie for years, only one perm ban because of overuse and reports by legits.

Sidenote: Reports from legits result almost always in automatic ban.

They don't do anything it's an automated system apart from a few exeptions as you getting banned directly by a jagex mod.
When they check an account if it gets reported it will take them 20 days usually more then a few months to ban you.
They have 100k+ accounts or even more accounts wich get reported every month.
So all those accounts get checked right?
Yes they do all of them get checked but in this rank :

f2p bots will be checked first
autotypers and then all other bots
p2p
autotypers and then all other bots

Now autotypers they will find it out very soon and it's not good for their game so they ban those first obviously at jagex they are very obvious.

So then they all get reviewed right well most do not get reviewed becouse if there is only 1 person reporting another they will not bother to review them so then more then 50% of reports are done wonderfull isn't it?

Now we come to the point that if you are somehow running a massive botfarm well you might think they know that you do that right?
They know how many accounts you run and they like to keep it that way so you won't use vpn's or whatever they like to not harm you so that you don't become any more advanced in ways of undetectability.

Short there are a few people maybe around 10 that review these reports and that's why it takes soooo long for them to ban you.
And that's how the reports system works also the ban system is fully automated it can check for ip etc and some cases are checked but most not.

If you feel to disagree on my theory then feel free to do so.
I believe jagex is obvious and likes to keep us botters obvious.

As to the time they need to find out if ur ip's are connected let's see 1-24 months after the last ban on one of your accounts they won't do anything becouse that would make them lose a custommer if they ip banned you.
This only applies to massive scale botting wich is atleast 20-50 bots running at the same time wich you would be idiotic if you ran them on the same ip in the first place.

Why would jagex let someone know by banning all their accounts that they are monitoring their ip address it makes them lose their advanced position and makes you aware of it.

Whatever the true theory is, I believe finding out linked IPs is one of the easiest things for them to do if the player doesn't use VPNs/proxies to avoid getting linked. But that is too much work just for botting a game, isn't it?

I don't think so?
Lot of times people just get one of their many accounts banned for that account alone doing something stupid/silly, but they never just ban one and ASSUME all the others on the same IP also bot.

I bot every night 1 char 6hrs.

True they don't ban by IP because of what you said, but I am sure finding out linked IPs is as easy as a click.

I tend to believe that certain IPs, e.g. Bothosts/ IPs with many recorded offences are more likely to be checked and banned if they get reported.

I've never heard of an IP ban or 'chain ban' of all accounts linked to an IP before.
(Except when on his birthday they banned all of WTFakawis accounts :p)

40+ accounts (High level botted (70+) in ALL f2p skills) & 2 mains. All manbanned, all at the same time, all on my freaking birthday! Happy Birthday WT-Fakawi……….NOT! And it was going so well; they couldn't find me nor stop me, so they had to revert to perverse measures. They associated my I.P with many accounts and banned them all but two legits. I dont blame them for banning me btw, If I was Jagex, I'd ban the hell out of those lousy botters too. (Did I say that?) It's all in the game.

…but thats all history now. I never auto on that I.P. anymore.

They can't ban by Ip. Or rather, they dare not. Changing your IP is so easy a child could do it. If they ban every character on one IP, quite a few legitimate players will be banned as well. Unless they check every other account on the IP, they wouldn't have any way of knowing.

I'm macroing about 16 hours a day with no breaks. I don't believe in breaks because a person playing normally wouldn't take frequent breaks every few hours despite randomisation of break intervals. Been doing this for about 2 weeks now.

I think as long as you steer clear of reports (by wearing some reasonably expensive gear, possibly a rare) then you'll be fine. I'm actually also more confident with macroing in crowded areas for some reason. Probably because it's easier not to stand out whereas if you're sitting there Fishing alone, you're more likely to strike up a conversation without even knowing.

I've managed 10 hours a day, varying between botting different skills.

My guess is that they don't mind too much these days, if you're a member and aren't significantly ruining the game in any way. I mean if you're botting some activity that's rarely done, you don't disturb people much. If a lot of people botted chins, it could piss off legitimate players because a lot of people go there. In those cases Jagex would care more.

Well I can go around from nothing to 16 hours per day… I am glad I haven't been caught, I might quit if I do get caught tough :)

Lol i bot 6-10 hours a day on my main B) aquired a new account that i planned on working on… but found out my laptop cant take more than 1 simba running at one time (or else i get 5 fps)

Ha i have an Alienware laptop and an EXTREMELY good router. I made 20 f2p accounts and ran collecting scripts on them 24/7 and stopped and logged in once a week to empty them. Never have i been banned. This was with RSbuddy and Powerbot before the Nuke. A few of them stopped within a few hours and some within a few days, but maybe 6 or so actually ran the full week.

I generally auto maybe 6-10 hours a day maybe 5 days a week. This is over 3 different accounts and I would usually reset it after about 6 hours ;o
Lately I haven't been doing much at all apart from testing scripts that I write.. Takes a while.

Yeah but I check my client from time to time and usually I spot randoms at the right time.

I have several accounts atm:
Main: I bot it from 0-20h a day. I usually bot hardcore few days in a row and then take a break.

P2P pure: 18-20h a day! Sometimes more.

F2P pure: around the same as P2P pure.. am I doomed? :f:

Before when reflection bots were around with Epicbot, Powerbot, and Rsbuddy i went top 6hours on both my main and bot test account. And i still have both of them. My test account still has no bans even when the script fucked up to. On Simba im only going for like 2hours till i start to trust it more. Back when i was getting 99 Mage on my main i used the Gate Stone Creator and it went 15hours max every day going like crazy and my main is still here.

Meh, botted Main 24/7 from March to October, it is still there. Dress smart, hop worlds. Now that we gotta crash smart, if you log into diff world each time, you are pretty safe.

I bot for as long as i want and i have been doing this since last year in october. Your chance of getting banned when your member is almost 0. The first time they will roll you back (happened 1 time out of 3 account i botted for 15+ hours a day for over 1 year). Then you get a week ban then you get a perma ban but if your non mem you should watch out you might get a perma ban the first time. Also jagex is starting to roll people back and take 100% of your cash and not the normal 50% or take 100% of your cash with no rollback it happened to people i know.

Here are some proggie reports of some epic botting hours ive done.
These are rsbot scripts from long time ago before i quit playing rs, i hope they still count.
I never break when auto.
Always bot in very populated places, i see it as less chance to be singled out.

I auto in the morning, i didn't know you could use multiple accounts at a time lol (what a noob me, no not leecher..eesh) So i learned that after i got hacked.. i try to auto 6 hours as i am out 6 hours come back hopefully no randoms or updates of any kind and i have a huge smile, auto 6 hours more with babysitting (might fall asleep) and yeah i do that.. ofcourse i have those breaks where i'm not using the PC or whatever and i guess those are my breaks and stuff..

So TL;DR i auto like 14 hours +/- a day..?

My main accounts I usually bot only when i am able to watch over and check every so often.

I use RiD on my main 99% of the time i bot, so im used to being able to bot 20 hours for weeks with no ban. im currently doing research on bots here to see what could cause a ban from my knowledge.

Not much at all, i'm mostly here for the community, not the game :P

On a completly normal day I would bot whenever I would play legit, if I havent played over the day(or botted) I usually bot over the night. So I bot my main about 2-4hours each day and my mini army for 12-16 hours each day :)

I bot until my script crashes and I notice.. Then I set it up again.

Edit : When RSBuddy was around the longest I went on my main was like 146 hours straight until Runescape updated I believe.

I've had some decent botting experience now (yeah, leecher, w/e. powerbot and rsbuddy were the epic shit back in the day ahaha)
I botted 2-3 P2P accounts non-stop for over a year (sorc gard and SW). I only got a 14day ban on a staking pure (botted 99str and 99hp at sw), they didnt even touch the stats and wealth.
As far as I'm concerned with the F2P botting, I honestly don't even think its worth it.
In conclusion, I would like to say just suicide P2P don't be a pussy, you won't regret it.

Currently longest for myself is 200 Hours +. With one account. No breaks, just Crash smart.

Did you do the randoms urself or did you run the bot in sw lobby etc? :D

I bot on my main making CBALLS just about 24/7 ( or as long as simba can run ).

I only bot while I am doing homework, So maybe 1-5 hours a day.

Botting 6-7 hours a day 'till summer.Then it'll turn into 6 hours legit play and 18 hours bot :D

It all depends, I botted about 15 hours a day at barb spots to 99 fishing. Maybe about 18 hours a day, no breaks. No ban.

I don't see how Jagex can't keep a hold of bans by using sessions, any sessions.

I bot around 10-20 hours a day, usually more on weekends. Sometimes I don't bot for 3-4 days or so, and on days where I play legit I try to bot less. Using 4 members accounts on various bots, including reflection and other bots which people say have high ban rates, never been banned once.

Just started getting into simba, and hopefully its safer than the older bots were.

The only time I bot is when I'm testing my own script. Other than that, runescape has lost its appeal for me.

Usually for as long as the bot will run. More recently this means 2 hours at the most. But I did just get back into autoing, and have started tweeking scripts to fit me. So hopefully those times increase. I don't plan on autoing over 6-8 hours ever though.

I usually auto until my computer beings emitting nuclear radiation and my house gets investigated by Mi5.

On a more serious note, whenever I'm on my computer I'll be autoing in one game or another.

Sometimes just updating colors can make some scripts work way better.
There are great Tutorials which will teach you how to do that.

I go around 8 hours a day. :D I would go longer if I could figure out that conflabbit smart crasher v2 thing!

I bot around 12-15 hrs a day spread out on my main + a little legit time playing minigames or killing green dragon bots in the wild to prevent randoms

I bot for 12-15 hours and right now I'm doing that for agility in barbarian outpost course. But theres points where I finish a round legit and pause for a min or two, what I do is sit down and quick chat random phrases.

I bot 10-15 hrs everyday and have been for about 8 months. Currently at 2418 total and going to continue botting at this rate until I get completionist cape or get banned

Only auto for 4-5 hours at one location then if I continue it's autoing a different skill in a different world - seems to work for me. Never gotten into the having a legion of characters though :\

Back in '07-09 Jagex banned using a .dat file kept in the /system folder of Windows, it would log a uid then use that to see any account you've been on.

Used it for banning hackers as well as botters

been botting for more than 10 hours a day with barely any breaks for almost a year now. not a single warning

I bot only on 1 account and about 10-20 hours a day, just took a month break from getting 3 99's in a row. I usually go off and on for a few days.

I bot about 8-10 hours a day on my main, mostly doing mage and fletching at soulwars atm so less chance of getting banned.

i believe that they dont really care as much about botting, they want to try and catch the people using fake credit cards, thats where jagex are losing all their money…

botting saved my marriage. lol. i got too carried away with the game, too into it, i remembered i used to use scar, then i found this, its great. i usually only bot when i am not actually playing. mainly inbetween bathing kids, making lunches, house duties etc etc.

most mornings before work i try to run a little script, even if it only works for a few hours i dont mind. as soon as i get home from work i turn one on then hang out with my kids. so i would guess i bot roughly 4-6 hours a day, only on one account, i do not bot for the money, i only bot for my own advantage, not to sell stuff on ge or rwt.

24/7 for most safe areas to use the script at, everyone I know who plays is hardcore 24/7 for over 2 years Maxed accounts never gotten the slap for it.

They have pretty much told me go hard or don't bot, so I personally 24/7 it and right now is probably the best time for it as the ban mass botting phase is over for a while.

4-6 hours. Sounds like a little bit compared to you guys. I try to more but with school and my tight schedule, I can't. Oh, and I'm too afraid to bot through the night.

I usually go about 15-18 hours per day…I get way to many randoms now.

Random 7-14 hours ea day, cba to nolife bot, likes playing it abit more safe…

Also the less I bot the less attention I have towards going to my computer and checkup on it..

Depends what im doing but i mainly just let the bot run for the 6 Hour limit and then turn it off.

Just get teamviewer thats what I use, im very rarely home but i control my script through my phone just leave my laptop on at home and im solid.

i bot in upwards or 18 hrs a day for 2 school years straight, not a single warining of banning

normally i always try at least 18 hrs each day on each of my accounts, and when i can use soulwars bank, well pretty much until the script or the smart manager fails me :p

I have my 5 man army going 24/7, and then I bot my main every now and then for a few hours

6 accounts, 1 hour a session each - multi - 24/7 5-6 days a weeks. So each account 20-24 hours a week until I get my other computer up and running. Then each account will hit 40-48 hours a week.

i usually bot overnight as im sleeping then, or bot one of my accounts and play on other, so i dont waste precious xp ;) xxxx

i can only run up to 2 bots on my computer :L

I bot on my main 24/7 with breaks and I bot on my mid-level around 4 hrs a day (I play legit on my mid when not botting)

As long as I can, averaging 20-22 hours per day. Got last ban over six years ago.

Usually <20hrs a day, for about 3yrs now, and have only have gotten a macro minor (which is now expired), however, lately I've been getting logged out for game session ending (about every 6hrs), and having to restart bot, eliminating long botting sessions :(

This is a Jagex anti-botting method, You can use i3egoHan's SMARTManager which can run scripts passed 6 Hours. It can be found here

I bot as long as possible. If you're not gold farming and botting for levels, what I did back when I played runescape is I botted 24/7 on my main and whenever I wanted to play I stopped it, went to play, and started it back up. Makes it so that you're not doing a repetitive task all day every day.

24/7 on my main for a few weeks already. Jagex hated me very much, so almost every day during my overnight runs I will get one of the disabled randoms. Guess they want me to take a break as well ;)

So all in all it's around 16-20/7.

Average around 7-10 hours a day without any issues, if you're just running one account you shouldn't really have any trouble, especially if you're a member.

Botting around 10-15 hours/day on my summoning tank now. I take breaks after a random amount between 4h-5.5h for 10-60 mins. Time that I break depends on how long the script has been working, made it calculate a good time lol. Also gets me past the 6h limit as the script will always log back in before 6h have been past. Usually get around 8-10h proggy's :P

i say go as long as you can :) i have an almost maxed acc just need 99 def jagex is stupid trust me

i only bot if I am playing Call of Duty or doing homework or graphics or something, sometimes i bot if i go out to dinner or have a football game or something, so around 5-8 hours a day, but i legit play some of the days as well so…

Usually I leave it running all night and when i get up I turn it off. Then if i'm heading to school ill turn it on again and leave it so thats an hour off. Then when i get home I usually will check it, see what its done and turn it off for an hour or two and then start it back up. stop at 10/11 then turn it back on as i'm going to bed after 12… :L

botting runespan non stop in crowded world, sometimes there are player mods on the same island as me.

Currently been botting 20 hours every day so I can get my max cape by the end of May.

5 accounts havent logged out in 3-4 weeks now. all are still fine. SMARTmanager for the win :D

Been botting past 2 weeks to get my main's combat bit higher (all skills were like 60'ish now they are 90'ish :) ), and it was like 18h a day or a bit less.

OT i bot roughly 15-20 hours a day…

10-20 I've gotten 40-96 range in 2010 on a guildranger in a week and a half I think. It was averaging about 70-80k an hour with maxed range bonus with 1 defence when I got into the High 70s, It got banned and rolled back to 83 lol

I dont even bother with the smart manager, i bot till the 6 hour mark then if im near by, ill start it up again right away, if not then its like taking a break :p

Yeah at night I do what Davis does, but during the day I use SMART manager,and have been botting like 8hours a day/playing legit 3 hours a day!

On my individual accounts max around 16 hours

I had a 48h+ proggy doing double nats with 600k and hour old school profit.:spot: kinda crazy hours i guess (rsbots.net bots… rip.)

I run MSI wc bot 2 times a day for 6 hours.

botted 30m fletch xp, then 99 mage via superheating, now im getting 99 smithing

i use smartmanager and take a break when the bot fails, if it doesn't fail it doesn't stop, suicided 30m fletch xp with SINmaples going about 22/7 lol.

if i care about the account, 10-15 hrs a day maybe?

12 hours a day on my main, sometimes less but i never got banned.

I dont know how jagex banhammer system works, ive botted my main on multiple occassions for days with the only break to reset the 6hr time limit. And I have maxed stats…. so go figure, i truly believe they only care about the goldfarmers and people who really try and manipulate the system. but usually im botting 16 or so hrs a day, just had a really lazy spell and didnt want to turn the smart manager off. Up over 60hrs of botting with 0 break other than resetting the 6 hr time limit.
