I'm thinking of making a miner/smither for making bronze bars.
I'd do it south of Lumbridge at the mine, have it walk across the bridge to Al Kharid, smith copper bars at the furnace and deposit them in the bank.
I would make it full-color with reflection backup.
My question is this: how many people would use this script if I were to make it? Don't feel like putting that much effort into a script if I'm the only one that would use it ;)
E: haha… I just realized I called them copper bars instead of bronze… It's what I get for being awake at almost 3am… ;)

If you make sure its multi player(for army's) I would use it. Plus if you make it colour and ref backed up, you could apply for members ;)
Just wondering, as I have never mined there, is there iron to ? if so it would be good if you could make it mine iron at a chosen level.

There is no iron there.
It would be useful for armies, barely noticeable since everyone doing stuff there is a bot. Would be possible to run 24/7 with 3-4 bots.

There is a 10 minute quest that gets you a few hundred xp from 30, to lvl 29, lol.

Fixed the tittle. I think it's a good script, the fact that you're walking all the way to AK means you wont be at the mine for long at any one period (you are only there for the time it takes to mine a load eg 5 mins, and then you're gone for maybe 15). It'll be hard to trace you especially compared to bots which are powermining over there.
And it's two skills, so it'd pretty much be a killer member-application if that is what you are looking for :)

Thanks for fixing the title, Magician! Again it's like 3am and I'm still awake… haha. I have been considering using it as a members application. I'll decide on that later, though. It's too early to tell whether or not this script will meet my personal standards in the time I have to develop it.
Charmz, were there any parts that you found particularly challenging or irritating to develop? If so, any tips for how to handle them?
Jakkle, multi-player is a must for me . I may not create armies, but most single-player scripts cannot run for extended periods of time.
Based on the responses sofar I've begun working on this. Had forgotten how different Pascal is from Javascript and PHP.
Anyways, I know this is slightly off topic, but if I do decide to use this for a members application, am I allowed to release it to the public before submitting as an application?
yes you are allowed to release to public. It's actually encouraged so that you get good feedback and fix most of the flaws. Once it is good enough someone will most likely say "Hey, your scripts pretty good you should apply with it." This is the easiest and most useful tool for getting members that isn't used all that much. Good Luck

I swear you just read my mind on why I would want to release to the public prior to submission! Thanks for the information! Much appreciated.

I'd use it, but why stop at banking?
Smith items while you're at the anvil.
It'd be sweet.

Which anvil..?

I think he confused it with the furnace near lumby fish spot.

Not sure how far the walk is to the furnace in lumby compared to AK but after you make whatever you are making on the anvil you could sell it to the general store instead of banking?.

Bars (used to?) be pretty expensive. It would be a waste.

That is a lot of wasted time walking.
Wouldn't it just be better to mine them somewhere else and bank; then make the smelting part seperate. Then they can run it to mine copper and then stop and run it with smelting some time later.
