Galaxy Tab vs Transformer

Hey guys! I'm currently in the market for a tablet. My family already has an iPad, so I'm looking for an android based one. I want it mostly to use at work (Tablet Specialist at Best Buy) to demo off and look up inventory, etc. I wan't yall's opinion on the two that I've narrowed it down to: the Samsung Galaxy or the Asus Transformer.
I'm a big asus fan when it comes to their motherboards and monitors, and also a big samsung fan when it comes to their TV's and phones. They are both very similar and some have benefits over the other. So far my pro's and cons lists are as follows:
Samsung GalaxyPros:
- Thinnest and lightest
- Best Screen
- Smoothest (in my opinion of our store models)
- Bigger Screen
- That cool overlay they use but I forgot the name of
Cons:
- No expandability
- More expensive
Asus TransformerPros:
- Keyboard dock gives 16 hour battery life total
- HDMI Out built in
- Micro SD built in
- Keyboard Dock gives 2 USB ports and a mouse
- Only $399.99 w/o Keyboard dock.
Cons:
- Bigger and Heavier
- Keyboard dock is $149.99
- Kinda ugly
EDIT: I would also like to get into App development as well. I don't know if that would be different on either one or which one is easier to hack things in etc. Any experience on the two is appreciated :)

Despite the mis reading, i would go with that

I choosed the galaxy tab. But, what I like at the Asus Transformer is the keyboard. Nothing more else!

you say the galaxy has no expandability, but how much memory does it start with?
Drakan

starts with 16gb, which honestly I probably won't even fill ;p Also you can get the adapter for a usb port and plug in a flash drive.

then i voted for that because if that and price are the only drawbacks, its probably good and going to last

Ya I think I'm leaning toward the galaxy just because its lighter since I'm going to be carrying it around for 7 hours at a time :P Not sure yet tho.

If you have time and money, I'd wait till the khalel tablets come out. Apparently its not that long either. Khalel will have some serious punch.

I don't know much about tablets, but from what you're saying I'd go with the Transformer. Seems more versatile to be and I'm guessing the weight difference really won't be noticeable.
It's also a lot cheaper than I expected.

IDK, the tegra 2 had little to no price jump.

Don't think I can give good opinions here. My friend just bought the Galaxy S (2?) and she really likes it, but I don't know what the differences are between it and Galaxy Tab. I imagine not that much. Beyond that I don't know, because I'm a fan of the Droid series.
Edit:
Never mind. I'm not a tablet user.

Tablets not phones…
I actually just got a transformer yesterday. Its pretty good, and cheaper than galaxy tab. I got the 16 gb transformer with dock for 499, while galaxy tab 10.1 (which is almost the same as transformer) 16gb cost 499 alone.
Transformer looks ok, not too bad and it isn't much heavier than the galaxy tab. The pad + keyboard feels like half or quarter weight of my t61 laptop, so its pretty agile to carry around.
For app developement, they both are pretty much the when using the ADK because they got exactly the same features (Gyro + 3 Axis accelerometer …etc). I'd say get transformer as they are pretty much the exact same, and the transformer has the keyboard (which make loads of difference).
If you got question about transformer, feel free to ask:P

Well for me I need to be getting it through work, and it would cause 549.99 for the transformer with the dock (minus my discount, I haven't checked what they are yet). But I'm not sure if I need the dock at all to be honest. And weight can be pretty noticeable. I was using the HP Touchpad at work for a few days and it really made my fingers cramp after a few hours of holding it while using and helping people. I'll look up some more specs of weight on both of them.
yeah the dock can get rid of some cramping if you could just leave it on the desk.
But if you were to go get galaxy tab 10.1, just think of it like this.
Pads alone:
Transformer is 100 dollar cheaper than samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and the general spec are nearly identical (apart from camera).
If you buy the dock + pad discount (So far, I only seen this in store with the 16 gb version) the dock is only an 100 dollar increase rather than 150. (399 for pad, and 100 for dock. so total is 499).
The transformer and the dock could be folded like a laptop, (which isn't avaliable for ipad and galaxy tab 10.1), and you can lock them in place.

Yes but you don't understand that I don't have a place to set it down and use it, I'm always standing :P Also its still 150 for us in the store and thats where I have to buy it so it turns out to be 550. I bought the galaxy tab today and i'm giving it a test run. I have 14 days to change my mind if I want.

Sick nice:P I was out too at a futureshop, is it just me or it feeels that galaxy tab 10.1 is lighter than ipad 2?

It is lighter and it feels soooo good :) I love the galaxy so far! I'm sure the asus is just as good (with more features) but I think the size and feel of the galaxy is what I was after. We'll see if I change my mind in the next 14 days =]
abtw what apps do you go on normally? mybe we should have a little srl review of samsung galaxy tab 10.1 vs asus transformer;)

I voted for the Galaxy event thought I am too late :p. However, why did you buy the HP TouchPad if you were just going to buy another tablet so soon?

iPad 2 is lighter than the Ipad 1, however the 1st iPad still has better reviews. Galaxy Tablet is lighter than both and I think cheaper than the iPad 2.

Currenty, I am typing to you from my Transformer… its bloody awesome. It trounces my dedicated netbook, and without the dock it is super light. The only downside to the keyboard thus ar is that the arrows are quished into the shift key whih makes it hard to avoid hitting the up arrow. I think you made a poor decision, but that may just be personal preference.

So i had a screen issue with the galay so i exchanged it for a tranformer. Im typng from it now with the dok, and it seems like the input lag is insane here. I takes 3 seconds+ for what I typed to show up. Also the other thing I don't like is the glass seems very sticy. Theres a lot of finger drag vs te galaxy. That being said I do like the dock and its not too much heaier than the galay. I still think the galaxy trumps this as far as looks and feel go, but its noice to have the options for sd cards and hdmi etc. Speakers are abut what i expected from a tablet (currently listening to pandora on it). I definitely see wht you mean about that up arrow. Also for some reason I cant hoko up a usb extension cable to charge , and the cable it omes with is uber short. that pisses me off a bit.Ill test it out for the next week or so and see which i like beter. Also im not fixing any of these typing errors, too much effort :P

Did you update the software? There seems to be a process running in the back ground thats chewing at the processor.. I'd love to find out what it is.
