Am sure every one here that had played since then will say old rs is better and I agree. But i still aruge that runescape content is as good as before, maybe pk and armour are different from before but every thing should be same or even more enjoyable.

The big problem is players man, to many people bot and ironically too many people just buy and bots. Jagex should ban them stupid java bots ^^ and Get rid of sites that sells gold and maybe limit them to private trades (like us or sythe).

Hopefully Jagex will find a way to tackle down both for profit bot and for those stupid sites that hijack people ( if they are selling them illegally, why wouldn't them obtain them illegally?) and sells rsgp.

In my opinion the golden days of RuneScape were during years 2002&2003. Good ol' days, I miss em. :) So many memories of those times, ahhhh.

Weird how things have changed. I stopped playing with the HD updates for quite some time. Jagex has just made some bad choices.. Sticking with a cheap browser game has really screwed them over, imo (as well as other things).

I joined in '06, left after the wildy and trade removal, returned in 2010. In my opinion, the only reason those days were better is the bots. Today would be even better if it wasn't that easy to get a java bot and run it 24/7.

Meh… I liked RS2 Beta. It was exciting going from RSC to RS2. Back then when the game counted as a game and not a profit machine for some UK company.

That almost made me cry :(

And Jagex wonders why people play private servers, because that's the only way to experience RuneScape as it was back in the day.

haha all the good old stuff :) I remember when I used to play a lot and did most of those things. Especially training at firegiants for evvveerrr >.>

I couldn't agree more they where my favorite days also tho i spent most of that typing words into ColdFeet :) good old days

Coldfeet, that's right. IssacSleeper, SleepWalker, all OCR's that got the job done.

No. RS was actually getting close to being fun back then.

To be honest, those graphics were the best….
And the Gameplay was perfect.

BTW, I think runescape classic has reopened or will be reopened for the third time very soon.

I've played the game since the old wildy and no grand exchange with breaks in between but I really can't see why the game was so much better back then. I think that if it weren't for the new updates, most people would just get bored of the game and quit it. And also, what's wrong with the new graphics?

I don't think its really from the graphics. It's how Rs used to be, as in better economy, players were really much more mature, no overpowered items, it was actually something I used to look forward to playing when I came back from school, the atmoshphere, and really even though Aryan and RSDemon were bad back then… I don't really think the botting situation was as bad as it is today.

I remember skilling was fun, because we could chat with other player to pass time. Now days theres no way to find a legit player to talk to….

Heh, I only joined RS right after RS2 was released, but I do miss those early days ^_^

How nostalgic i Miss those good old days. Reminds me Of runescape when it was actually fun to play legit.
