I smoke because it's an artificial way to quickly induce a lasting parasympathetic response, which my body enjoys. :3
That's not what I'm asking at all. That's not WHY you do it. There is a cause and effect that's deeper than that. It's the same thing I ask about everything I'm confused about.. why would one be gay? why would one be an actor? why would one do drugs? There's always a reason for things (not some sort of bullshit higher cause nonsense, but there is a reason why people differ, and it has to do with what they've dealt with in life.. life is simply one traumatic experience after another which is who we are today).
And since I know that people do things due to traumatic experiences, I know why people would be gay, why people would do drugs, etc.. There's no logical explanation besides that that I've ever thought/heard of.
However, since I know that life is all about trauma, wouldn't it be good to support those traumatic events? Why would being emotionally healthy make any sense? I partially just think my medication is making me think weird thoughts, but it also makes sense consistently, so I dunno.
But think about this.. Why would anyone who was emotionally healthy ever deliberately decrease their lifespan for any reason? Why would people smoke cigarettes or eat too much and not be healthy? To me, there's no doubt that it's because of something they're not happy with that happened earlier. And not a single person I've ever heard of who has/does smoke, drink, isn't healthy, does any drugs, whatever, has had something that I can definitely point to and say "that was a major factor in their life that pushes them to smoke weed," and so I just don't know.
