So here's the deal, I got an image with input-fields on it. Now I need a HTML page with the image centered and a HTML-form over the image, so that someone can fill in those details and submit.

I've been struggelin' all day, but HTML fails on me :(, any tips?

First try to get it working without centering. Use the image as a background and try to position the boxes through CSS absolute positioning.

Yes, got that to work. Problem is to center that whole thing, without using an iFrame.

Try to give the div/body the correct width and do: margin: 0 auto;

What about a div inside a div that is centered?

so it brings the whole thing to center

does just a simple fixed margin work? idk too much about it but those are some things I've done to get stuff to work

I could code it if I had a .PSD

Which you would slice then -> tables? bad decision

tables are for showing tabular data. use divs for layouts

just make a wrapper with margin:auto for centering the thing, and define a body div on which you put the "book" background image as background. on that put the form and you can use simple css to make everything fall into place

I only need the .PSD so I can disable stuff like texts etc, to get the backgrounds.

I just went for the iframe construction, because I could not get the margin stuff to work.

Alright, as long as it functions properly it's good, I suppose ;)

Ran into this a while back, make sure you use proper doc types.
