Keep Simba detail settings seperate

I find it annoying having to change the detail when I want to bot and when I want to play. It seems Simba shares the settings on your computer, is there any way to have simba use another prefs file?

used signed.

Unless you mean going from safe and fixed to hd and full screen. Then I don't think so, cause it might trigger off something.

But you could play in fixed and standard, its faster that way:P Also its just good to play on the setting you bot on, perhaps its less suspicious as every time you train, you go to fixed mode.

This isn't a Simba issue, and I don't even think it's a SMART issue. As far as I know, SMART just loads RS. RS probably reads the file on your computer and loads the last settings you used.

It may be possible for SRL to set fixed mode after SMART loads, but I'm not sure how that would work in a browser. I'm not even sure it would work at all.

Smart puts you in safemode.. I heard the colour finding doesn't work in OpenGL.. I remember there being a project around here somewhere where someone was modifying opengl.dll to work with smart.. I know wizzup was talking about capturing opengl or something.. It used to go into opengl for me automatically and worked.. but for some reason it only goes in safemode now.. not sure why.

I actually see now reason why color wouldn't work in any detail. Only problem is, SRL + most color scripts are written in fixed mode. Everything would probably work in different details, just colors and coordinates would need to be updated.

I wonder if we can isolate SMART and trick RS into thinking it's settings are in a different directory.

OpenGL and DirectX work differently.

So pretty much like RSBot, the hacked client uses its own cache while you have another cache in the C: drive from running the client in the browser.

No… If we can, we would do it without changing the client.

Umm would creating a shortcut work? Where does smart keep it's client data? hmm maybe a shortcut to the real one would let smart read off of that :S

I know but theoretically you can create a color script to work with every detail. You just have to be able to select the client and develop the script in that detail.

Simba can't read colors from a OpenGl/DirectX application.

Oh I see, why is that?

DirectX does a good job protecting the data in the window, I am not sure about OpenGL on Windows but I'm pretty sure it's somewhat similar. There are ways to capture the windows (Fraps can do it, after all) but they require some nasty hacks. The windows show up ``black'' the way Simba currently captures data.

For what it is worth, Linux doesn't have this. (You can capture DirectX/WINE and OpenGL for all windows) :p

Ah, so it's just Windows that fails this time. :p
