Hey, I'm new to SRL and just wanted to briefly introduce myself! I am currently an 18 year old from USA (descriptive :P). I played runescape a lot from 2003 - 2008 (off and on since) but lost interest post g.e. I hope with my time on SRL/Villavu I will learn a lot about coding and meet some awesome people! 8)

Welcome to SRL! I'm sure we'd all like to have ya around, so if you're wanting to use Simba or develop your own scripts, or even just meet some new friends and be part of a community, come on in! Everyone here is more than willing to lend a hand if you have questions, just don't be afraid to ask. ;)
What, may I ask, is your reasoning for coming back to Runescape after those 3 years?

He never said he came back to rs, :p just here to learn to code, or that's the impression I got.
Anyway, welcome to the community, what ever the reasons are that you're here.

@Flight:
I'm not sure what it is.. I always have enjoyed the game and can't ever seem to 100% "Put my account away." In years passed I have dropped my whole bank on multiple occasion or given my earnings to other player in attempt to quit.. never worked! I guess i'm going through a craving. I also have a passion for computers more and more these days. I guess since I have started to "attempt" to teach myself some Java coding, Runescape has become more of a fascination to me.
Welcome to this community

P.S. Without the knowledge of java we wouldn't have reflection now would we ;)

SMART? :) We do indeed use PascalScript here though. If you are interested in Java coding, then we have a programming subforum, which in itself has separate language forums:

Nah, they are fine, haha. Would love to see you use any programming experience you have had be put towards this community. Like some others have said, we do use a touch of java, but Pascal is the main thing here. Both of which I suck at :p. If you need any help, throw me a PM, I'll try to help or direct you to something that can.

Welcome! Be sure to check out the scripting tutorial section
here, and the reflection tutorial section
here. It shouldn't take you too long to get the hang of scripting with Simba ;)

Java's the tough one, it's where I began in the first place, waaaaay back in the RSC days. I'd say if you've got a good understanding of Java, then you'll be quick to recognize the same patterns used in other languages, such as Pascal, and catch on in no time!
Willkommen!!!
This shall be your internet crib for the next few years:P A real good way to start is try out scripts with noob accounts (don't bot with your main yet), figure out what the codes do, and move on from there:P
