is it possible in this great script: when your harpoon fishing it would drop raw tunas and only keep raw swordfish?

like when you setup your form there would be an feature asking fish for: Swordfish, Tuna or both.

i think this would be an awesome feature.

(if this i already possible, then i'm sorry)

It isn't already possible, so it's fine. Not a bad idea, though. I'm thinking the best way to do this would be to create a new procedure (MSI_DropExcessItems) and that would drop any items the user doesn't want to keep. I'm just trying to think of the best way for the user to choose. I suppose the form could be changed so the user chooses which fish to catch rather than the fishing spot.

If I can get TTreeView exported to Simba then this could be very simple.

Nice suggestion.

The user could choose the spot and the fish? MSI simply keeps a list of DTMs for each fishable fish.

I don't really use MSI so i dont know how its all setup but i think you could just post the kinds of fish you want in an array of strings in the declare player function or whatever procedure is used?

Sorry if thats completely un-related to how MSI works this was at the top of the most recent threads and i'm jsut having a look

Alterantively the drop excess function will go through the inventory (For I := 1 to 28 Do) and then for each spot it can check the up text unfortuantely thats very obvious. but it should work everytime if get uptext is working?

No that's right, and that's what I was thinking also. If we had a TTreeView of each fishing spot and it expanded to all the fish, the user could choose. That part doesn't really matter as much. The main idea is that the user should be able to choose the fish, rather than just the fishing spot.

I'm just thinking of the best way to get it to work internally. If you don't have any idea how MSI works, the following will probably mean nothing to you. :p

I'm pretty sure the item counting and such is revolved around the MSI_Players[].ReportInfo.Items array, and that array is set depending on the objects the user specifies. We can simple check to see if the user has chosen items rather than objects, and set MSI_Players[].ReportInfo.Items accordingly.

I'm going to add this to the MSI core to-do list. I myself probably won't have time for a while as I'm really going to push the new form in the next couple weeks; however, I'll definitely take this into consideration when structuring the form. :)

We can set the fishSpot internally as long as we know what kind of fish to catch, so the way the code is setup doesn't really need to change much at all. Then that's all we really need. We already have a dontDrop array for any random items that come while skilling that the user want's to keep. The only thing left to do is drop the other fish, no?

What I described could be (and would have to be) applied to all skills… I simply used fishing as an example as that's what the topic was on.
