Hey. I downloaded the nightly from mopar's website (http://www.moparisthebest.com/downloads/simba/current/) which doesnt seem to have been updated since July 7th.

Needed libkeysharing (or something along those lines) so I installed.
When I tried to start Simba, I ran into problems.

Any tips to however I can resolve this, besides using WINE etc…

Edit: Just got it in WINE as well. So its probably a build issue.

It was updated last time there was a commit to the repo, which was July 7th:
https://github.com/MerlijnWajer/Simba/commits/master

Take a look at the build log and see if you see anything funky.
