Hey guys, how do I know what is a SpamBot and what is not? And what kind of Siggy do they have that everyone talks about.

Wait, you mean an IRC Client is just like #SRL one? I'm confused… Cause I heard people saying something about use an IRC Client..

Spam bots are bots which go round sites posting stuff and in their siggy they will advertise a site or two, which is put their before their first post, also if you copy their post and put it in google you normaly get about 10/20 sites with the same post and user name

Mainly their sig, or if you copy and paste what they have said into google and if there are lots of post saying the extact same, and as for banning its just fast mods and admins i think

They get raported(mostly), so that the admin/mod can see the post/thread.

People who can give infractions can ban spambots

You can identify a spam bot by it's signature since it has a whole bunch of links to various products / websites, or by it's avatar. There's this one spam bot who uses this avatar:

The reason why they are banned so fast is because of the people who report them, and the quick reactors to the spam bots.

How do you become an SSRL. Btw still don't understand how you can make a bot with an IRC Client.

Since it's not widely known Developers get SSRL upon becoming Dev so they get the power too.

No, no, they meant an irc bot for irc. not for rs. Like programs that respond and do commands.

You can also see your rep level there. And it's also possible to see who's got the highest rep level on the forum on the forum front page then scrolling down to the bottom clicking "Newest Members" and selecting "Top Reputations" instead

That's just him brain washing you. ;) He's a Spambot in disguise banning other spambots. His most recent conquests is here.

E: On average we have 3-4 spambots a day come on SRL. It seems that way sometimes anyway.
