The 3 Network

I'm looking at getting the Samsung Galaxy S II, and the network (UK) that seems to offer the best deal for someone like me is on 3/Three. I was wondering if anyone from the UK could rate them in terms of their coverage (not too bothered about customer support etc).

In sweden at least, 3 is very very good in my opinion. I got this place in the middle of nowhere : full coverage !

And the samsung galaxy sII is just fantastic ;).

I have 3 as my network (Am from Aussie land) and I would have to say it is pretty good. The customer support is great (free to call them too, so if you are on hold for a while (you probably wont ever be) you wont need to pay). Only thing is sometimes I get bad internet speeds, but that's just my phone. I bought a Nokia (biggest mistake of my life). My brother got an andriod phone and he gets internet speeds so much faster then mine when he is just standing next to me. Happens on wifi too :(

tl;dr, 3 is good

I've heard it's truly amazing for 3G signal, but that they use Orange for 2G, which I've no idea about.

Yeah, I'm completely obsessed with that phone, I think the people in the phone shop are getting a bit annoyed at me…

So that's probably just the phone then? The S II seems to have a very good antenna, so shouldn't be a problem. Get an android ;)

I had a phone on 3 network (UK) a couple of years ago and the coverage was SHOCKING.
I couldn't get signal at my house, friends houses, town.

The covering WAS SHOCKING but in recent years it has dramatically improved. when i say dramatically i mean with my Samsung galaxy s2 i'm yet to drop signal any time i'm above sea level or outside, like all phones if you go underground or sometimes under a thick bridge you get nothing.

The phone is next level. Seriously i payed an extra tenner a month to get it and i know i will still be impressed with it when my next upgrade comes.

for an example of the change. two years ago i couldn't ever get signal at my house. 3 members of my family are on three, no calls or messages could be taken by any of us. Right now i can go anywhere in my house and have at least a bar or two and good enough non wifi internet to surf the web.

Sitting here right now i have 2 bars of signal.
