Question: Disabling smart in scripts

Hello guys!

I have been trying to run scripts such as narcle's fast fighter with simba.

It works perfectly and evreything however, I would like to be able to run the

script so I can set a client to target, instead of having smart pop up.

Could someone be kind enough to let me know how? thank you in advance!

find where it says
{.include SRL/SRL/misc/smart.scar}
(line 18 i believe)

and put two slashes in front of it, so it looks like:

//{.include SRL/SRL/misc/smart.scar}

then select the runescape client, et cetra :)

At the top of the script you will see:
{$DEFINE SMART}
{$i srl\srl.scar}
{$i srl\srl\misc\smart.simba}

Make it :
//{$DEFINE SMART}
{$i srl\srl.scar}
//{$i srl\srl\misc\smart.simba}

HOWEVER, if you see
{$i reflection\reflection.simba}
somewhere at the top, SMART can NOT be removed :)

Note: Narcle's fighter has reflection, so SMART is required.

Thank you very much, so since narcle's fast fighter is bound to be used with SMART, is

there any other fighting scripts that don't require it?

Why not just use SMART?

Be careful when using a specified client and not SMART because it does take control of your mouse, and if something goes wrong and your mouse is constantly being moved, it's hard to regain control to stop the script. I've had to, many times, manually turn off my computer to stop it.

Not when the client itself is active. It works when Simba is brought up as your current window. :(

No, sometimes it just F's up, although unlike Flight I FOUGHT THE LION MOUSE KNOW AS SIMBA/SCAR. :p

But seriously, use SMART. Besides the fact that it uses more memory than many would like it is > regular client.

If the mouse is being controlled and it's not clicking but just moving. Delete the Process for Simba in the task manager.

CTRL + Shift + Esc - To open the task manager
Tab + Arrow Keys - To select the processes tab and highlight the simba.exe process
Delete Key - To end the process.

Sorry for going offtopic, OP.

Doesn't always work, the mouse might force click the next tree/rock/monster/etc. Or, the script might be stuck in a loop[coders fault] and it will spam click.

However, it is a good idea if the script doesn't go crazy on you ;)

Any ways, I would stick to SMART because when I use SMART I can have like 4 scripts going on at once while being able to do other things on my PC.

I was actually thinking whether setting up a VM and using a browser would take less specs than actual SMART itself. I still have to try, but I have a VM with a streamlined XP in it that barely uses resources…

Yeah that's pretty good advice, but like SmarterChild mentioned, when the mouse clicks somewhere within the client then the client becomes active and not anymore your task manager. But I do appreciate the advice. :) I didn't think about that before.

Moving Thread to SMART Section :)

This also tells me you didn't read the "Read before Posting" Sticky for the How to Auto section.
