I believe someone said that, in the browser, RS sometimes changes handles? Or you do get this constantly?

I used to get this every now and then but restarting simba would help. Now it happens every time.

With the browser, right?

I've noticed this especially with Chrome. The client "refreshes" constantly, causing Simba's client to reset to the desktop. I've since moved to Firefox and it works much better, but still happens on occasion.

Yes. I really don't see a need in switching browsers for something that could be fixed in simba.

[QUOTE=Camaro';815724]Yes. I really don't see a need in switching browsers for something that could be fixed in simba.I don't think it is a problem in Simba, otherwise I'd say the same. It's the RS client that refreshes, and unless Simba can detect the client in the browser, switching may be your only option. I'll link Wizzup to this thread though.

Would that still work if the client was open in a tab?

I believe so. I had trouble using the functions in SCAR (At the time I think we used SCAR), but if someone gets that working, it should work, I tested with all browsers I knew of.

Simba can't really help it if your browser can't keep the handle from changing, to be honest. (That's Chrome for you, hardly any customisability and generally meh) I know I had some trouble with jagex refreshing the page for ads causing Java/browser to change the handle, I think greasemonkey had a script to remove the ad, this fixed it for me. But really, it's no problem in Firefox.
Plus, I don't understand how you would like to see this implemented in Simba? Poll every millisecond if the window handle has changed? Windows provides to my knowledge absolutely no way of tracking this and just searching for a new RS when it no longer exists also sounds a bit silly.

Frement, Simba already has some FindWindow() functionality, so I suggest you look at that first. If it lacks something, feel free to extend it.

Didn't know that, and I first did this for SCAR.

Yeah, I understand. I'm just pointing this out. :)

Wizzup?, it's happened once or twice for me in Firefox, but it's pretty rare. Also, AdBlock Plus removes the ad. Chrome on the other would, would refresh every couple seconds.
