[LEFT][ R ] Barbarian Fly Fisher and Banker

The title says it all, this script pretty much fishes salmon and trout outside the barbarian village and then banks the fish at Edgeville. I did this quite quickly, about an hour to write, and another hour to test. So it isn't perfect, but it is pretty stable. It has a colour[TPA] fail safe for finding the fishing spot, credits to Prophesy0fW0lf. However, it wasn't really needed, but I left it in there because I was experimenting with it, and let me say his TPA Finder function is pretty good ;). I've also got my fishing level from about 25-72 so far :spot:

Instructions:

• Fill out the constants and DeclarePlayers.
• Set your players up at the fishing spots[has black box around it in pic].
• Note: You can start your players in the bank, however it is more efficient if the script starts by the fishing spots.
• Make sure all players have a fly fishing rod and some feathers in their inventories.
• Start the script!
• Post your proggies here

Bugs: - Sometimes it doesn't walk to the next fishing spot, not a huge issue since it will get the next spot.

I'm honestly surprised there wasn't one of these around already. Nice work!

If I might make a suggestion, how about adding the option of power-fishing as well? Oh and by the way, I've also used that TPAFinder for my MonkFisher, and it does work very nicely. ;)

I was thinking of putting a power-fishing option, that will probably go in the next version.

Oo yeah that sounds pretty nice. Maybe an on-screen report including Xp/Hour and Profit/Hour (Only if you're banking your fish).

Bump. 2.1 out now. Script can run for a lot longer, had a 5 hour proggy, simba crashed tho :redface:

No power fishing yet, if more people use/request, I will swiftly add it.

By the way, I could write a leap fisher for you except I don't have a member account for it.

I thought Home had already made a Heavy-rod fisher. I believe it's just powerfishing though, because the price of those fish are insanely low.

I'm actually surprised 2.0 lasted that long, don't worry though I've test 2.1 and the script doesn't get lost/stuck at all unless it encounters a random.

how do you save reports?

i have added a on smart progress report just to see how its going etc, do you save your reports using inis?

running 2.1 overnight, will let you know how it goes

one suggestion, is adding break time. i dont know where in the script it logs out after the x loads, but id like to change my time to log out for multiple hours. ill be back to edit this with my proggy when/if it ever stops (15+hrs right now)

I think inis are involved, however I have never tried :redface:. Otherwise, my script would have it.

I added, a TimeToSleep constant in 2.11 (so Simba will logout, sleep for designated time, and then log back in; works for single-player only though), will post now.

Reflection and SMART use a lot of memory, nothing I can really do :(. However, what works for me is that I give Smart/Simba.exe highest memory priority and it doesn't crash.

If you want, I can add a constant allowing you to choose between color/refleciton random solving?

Yeah that's probably a good idea

I was also thinking if I mod my includes a bit so that I use reflection for the actual detection and then use colour to solve them, that's only until ref 2 comes out cause iirc randoms solvers have been worked on but I could be wrong

Didn't have enough time, so I was just the minor things[sleeps/randomsoptions/stats]. Will have powerfishing done + tested in a day or so. :)

Hehehe, I ripped some your procs and made my own fisher, its for personal use, so dont wory. Its working pretty well for me so far.

Was there an error message or did the crash close Simba?

crash just closed simba, my guess is reflection? could be wrong though

Either Reflection or SMART or you're PC. My easiest fix for this, once again is to give Simba/Smart.exe high priority in your task manager/system monitor.

Any ways, be sure to take advantage of SRL stats!

896 salmon, and 1248 trout. nice. i just want counting to work, so itll actually break

and how hard would it be to update it to ref 2?

Could you make an option to drop trout and only bank salmon? Trout hardly seem worth banking (to me anyway), and that way you could make fewer trips (= higher xp/hr).

Updated, both versions of 2.12 have the same features. However, the latest one is reflection 2.

Tested both and they both work great, I think the R2 one may be a tad faster. :)

just got back to using this, will post a proggy if it stops, or at least if its passed 3 hours.

as for suggestions:
for me, it never moves to the other fishing spot. any way to detect that better in ref2?

expect more feedback and proggies, as i have 200k feathers to use and im hoping to get close to or at 99 by the end.
