its been free before, its been like 2 dollars, i think it was $7 before this. Everyone who doesnt already have it wont buy it. Thus this. great game.

Definately worth it however.

The update also broke Garry's Mod for 2 days yippee :/. It is fine now though.

Yeah, quiet a few weapons got added within the über update.
It's funny because it seems that the new match making thing only puts you into US servers which is not too good from here, Europe, but still, the amount of noobs …
I think I am a mediocre player, yet stomping those new players is quiet funny even with huge ping.
Also I believe VAC can handle things. I hope. Valve is not stupid, they know they would lose their old players if new hackers appear.

Yeah, they got 4 years of playtime, and over 300 free updates. Also a hat.

I think there are some king of restrictions for free players, not sure though.
Never really looked into it, but what I heard: smaller inventory(not that it will be full any time soon), can't trade everything, maybe more.

Tell that to the CS 1.6 crowd that has been dealing with hackers for years. The rerouting is fucking worst thing ever. Absolutely ruined the game.

The games not even free, but apparently the draw of it is good enough to bring in the Hungarian hackers that foiled Valve's attempts to stop the redirecting. Now they have just given up, it's a crock of shit, CS 1.6 is a great game and it's now ruined for anyone that plays legit because of it.

It's not on-topic, but I personally hate Hungarian players the most too.
It seems they are not playing the game to enjoy, but for something else that I can't understand. When I was playing MW2 and there was a guy swearing the whole time and I questioned: "Magyar vagy?"("Are you Hungarian?"), the answer was yes 90% of the times. That makes me sad. You can't even imagine what is going on on Hungarian servers in COD4 …, that's why I quit.

On topic: I never played CS so I don't know about it, but I rarely meet with suspicious people in tf2 and that still can be skill.

Surprisingly I haven't seen that many hackers on TF2, I saw some guy abusing the scout shotgun by not having a wait between shooting and having infinite ammo so he raped everyone with it, but that was the only time (When the day came out + the day after it came out) it is all pretty good now from what I have seen.

there's matchmaking!? i think i might like that. finding servers can oft be annoying! Since when has there been?

I never see hackers. All the people that played tf2 used to be super chill but i haven't played since it was new so idk what will happen with the influx.
