Small change in ClickNorth

NCDS

procedure ClickNorth(AngleHigh: boolean);
begin
if rs_GetCompassAngleDegrees <> 0 then //just add this
if Random(4) = 1 then
begin
Mouse(542, 24, 15, 15, False);
WaitOptionMulti(['ace', 'orth'], 1200);
end else
Mouse(542, 24, 15, 15, True);
SetAngle(AngleHigh);
end;
Looks stupid and bot-ish to "click north" right after logging in or any other time your already facing north.

I have begun to wonder who actually thought to implement this nonsense. Please put sense into what you are writing people.

This "nonsense" is years worth of work and development, and the people who implemented it are valued members of the forum who actually take the time to contribute.

I was talking about the ClickNorth function. Why don't you try comprehending things before picking fights.

I don't understand your argument, can you please explain? :)

It's all right. You don't need to understand.

In that case then, this "nonsense" of a procedure was written by me.

Yo Jerry, I'm guessing you use Simba scripts to bot. Well look at it this way, without that "Nonsense" there will be no bots. There will be no SRL.

umm a lot of people are taking this to the next level…try to stick on topic…as for the topic itself:

actually when i play manually i always click north when i log in. and i click north everytime i use a tele. and sometimes i click north when its @ 359 degrees. depends if the lines are squiggly. just cuz i got ocd. so dont worry its quite human. that cannot be accepeted as bottish.

i like to use positioning of compass just because im so used to the rs minimap. il teleport and in the middle of the teleport il just click north and already place the red flag where i know i wana go before i actually tele there. this ensures a faster travel…almost.

You might as well say "why have an include?". The fact is, it's there for ease of use, as is the entire include. It's not necessarily necessary, but none of the include is. It just makes life a little bit easier. There's no harm in that, is there?

I'd say there is harm in having nonsensical methods in libraries. We often point people to look at the include for learning, and when there is so much in the include that isn't EVER used, it's often times confusing. They learn a lot that isn't really anything they should learn as a beginner and it becomes off putting to continue.

However, I think ClickNorth is something that should be in the include, as there's nothing to really optimize about it.

Like you said, it's understandable if procedure and functions which aren't at all used to be removed, but ClickNorth is used in a high percentage of scripts.

Anyway, this is waaaay off topic, let's agree to disagree :)
