First thing's first, WU charges FEES for sending money, but often times they become quite small when sending larger amounts and having the extra security of knowing that your money CAN NOT be charged back is worth it!
Figuring Out Fees
To figure out how much you will have to pay in fees first go to http://www.westernunion.com/ .
Once there click the "Estimate Price" button and enter all of the correct information for yourself, and the person you are selling too. This will calculate and tell you how much you will have to pay in fees when sending the money.
Note: It would be nice for sellers (if they wish!) to offer to 'split fees' meaning that the seller will pay for 1/2 of the free money for the buyer.
Sending Money
There are a few ways to send money to a buyer.
Send Online:
Go to http://www.westernunion.com
And click "Send Money Online" here you will see all of the different options you have to send money from your computer.
Send In Person:
Go to http://www.westernunion.com
and click 'Find A Location' and enter your details. Go to the nearest branch and go there with your cash. Tell the worker you wish to sell money and they will ask for your information and the receiver's information (someone tell me exactly what they ask for? :p), you give the the cash to send and pay the sender fee and it's off! You will also get a MTCN number, it is VERY IMPORTANT to remember/keep it safe!
Receiving Money
Depending on how the sender send the money, you can receive it in different ways.
1) If sender asked for it to go to your bank account, you will get it in your bank account!
2) If it was just sent as cash, you must also find your nearest WU branch!
Go to http://www.westernunion.com
and click 'Find A Location' and enter your details. Go to the nearest branch and go there with the MTCN number given to you by the sender and an ID with your proper full name. Tell the worker you are there to pick up some money and give them the info they ask for and you get your CASH!
How This Is Safer
Well obviously in a trade someone must go first either way, and this works best with the buyer going first usually. The reason is because once the buyer sends the money they get a MTCN number. The seller can check if the MTCN number is valid and legitimate by going to https://westernunion.com and clicking "Track A Transfer". On this page the seller can type in the given MTCN number and see all details about weather the money was sent or not, how much was sent (is this true?), and when it will be ready to pick up.
That's all I have to say for now, and I have NEVER personally used WU myself so much of this info is from my own research/other guides. Please DO tell me anything I have stated which is incorrect and any additional details I should add!
