The junior member thing has changed a bit in the time that villavu has been around, regarding your last question.
And before, java bots weren't as popular, and SCAR was one of the main bots for RS (besides rsdemon/aryan), since it was made after AR (SCAR == Shite Compared to Auto Rune) and all. Had a lot of credibility I suppose.
And a well designed include was nice, so srl-forums were decently popular. I've only been around for about four years years though. (2-17-07)

The requirements to become a Jr. Member used to be 10 posts and a community member for 7 days. They changed to 6 months since registration and 100 posts quite a while ago. I would think, though, that those Jr. Members with less than 100 posts would get demoted. Now that Jrs have access to the black market I think for sure that should happen.

iirc, they didn't demote because it was a lot more work than mattered, and it was really all-around different times. I dunno, it was awhile ago. :p
But the point is, more people have cared more about botting rather than learning, which is why they go to powerbot/rsbuddy/etc. because they're easier to maintain and work "better."

They'll still need to get 300 posts to get into the BM. Once a Jr has 300 posts and has been registered for 6 months the board automatically given them rights to access the BM.
