So the living rock caverns is a members only area under the Dwarven Mine.
It contains gold and coal rocks which can essentially be mined just like rune essence rocks. You click the rock once, and you sit for a long time getting tons of ores, you also have random chance of getting 2 or 3 ores at a time (this is increased if you wear Varrock Armor Level 2 or higher, but that's tough to get).
Anyways, it's regarded by many as the best/one of the best places to get fastest mining experience giving about 35- 40K+xp /hour with a rune pickaxe and 40-50K+ xp/hour with a dragon pickaxe.
Of course jagex would put some safeguards in such a place, so it's filled with some level 100+ monsters, but there are some 'official' servers in which players have designated to mine at in which your changes of getting attacked by these monsters are very low/non-existent because 1) It's crowded as hell (Server is almost always full, and I'd assume 80%+ of the 2,000 players are in the cavern) and 2) Nice players log in and train on the monsters so they don't attack you.
TL;DR: Living Rock Caverns is a P2P dungeon in which you can get CRAZY (30-50K xp/hour) good mining xp. Of course because of this bots were made for it, and boy do people use them!

Fortunately, like I said since each rock gives multiple ores so the crowd does not effect the rate at which you get ores/xp so it's not really a 'problem'.
And yes, it LAGS if you don't have a good computer :p.
