Didnt know where to post this so I post it in off topic..

No one download anything from any powerbot links… they fired the Lead developer Auth0r and beaker replaced all the links with viruses.

GF Powerbot…

In other news today: ALL Worlds are almost empty :) Just got 99 atk and str LOL!

I saw that most membs' worlds were <800 players earlier today. I usually use RSBuddy for java botting, but since I've used RSBot before I changed my pass anyways.

Powerbot has had a lot of political problems among themselves lately.

Runescape got updated this morning, that could be why there is a low amount of people online. I'll check it out

This clearly shows how much influence Powerbot has compared to Simba/Rsbuddy/Tribot/All our other friendly neighbours.
Tbh I hope Jagex can kill the bot, as it's ruining the game.

To be honest, I have no problem with RSBot as a botting client, I just hate their community in every way possible. It's about time that a large portion of the bots were brought down, it really is ruining the game. Saying that, I'm finding it hard to buy resources now, no legit player is dumb enough to do dull mundane tasks :p

You do realise that all the powerbot users will just go find another bot if it gets shut down?

i stopped playing rs after i figured i only got 6 willow logs per hour and even worse on yew, but now the game should be fun again.


i did read this on powerbot, no news on that powerbot is dead.

this is amazing, so glad I only use rsbuddy and simba for my botting, I always thought RSBot had a terrible community when the first thread I opened was full of people flaming at each other haha reading this made me quite happy :D

Wow, I wouldn't have ever guessed Powerbot had that many users. Pretty rediculous honestly.

I must say I hope they stay down, though.

Last time I checked POMS had a working one. I used it a while back for my army.

If you have used RSBot and saved your name/password to it, find your RSBot folder and go to Settings/uid.txt. Open that up, delete everything inside of it, and your account names and passwords won't be saved anymore :)

Then go change your password and update your recoveries if you want to be super safe.

And for everyone asking for the story.. it went like this late last night:

Auth0r <– Lead developer of powerbot, was fired because they said he was too lazy when it came to updating the bot.. A guy called Timer took over as lead developer and introduced himself. RS updated and powerbot got outdated.. When it was time to update, this timer guy took forever and Auth0r was kinda mad that they fired him for a slow ass like Timer..

Auth0r made his own site: Powercoders.. and cut a deal with 2 admins on Powerbot.. Namely: Beaker and l3xa.. These admins went around powerbot and replaced all the links with viruses and under the virus links was links to powercoders.. <– Auth0r's site..

It was perfectly time as the bot was being updated and no admins were around to ban them.. some people went and download the viruses like idiots because there was 6000 pages in one thread of posts asking for the update (desperate ppl)..

Right before beaker got banned, he deleted all the posts in the announcements and a few other sub-forums and put an announcement thread with the title: "Powerb0t has been COMPROMISED!!!"

And everyone freaked out.. threads started flying everywhere like: "OMG I WENT TO TEH Link what do I do guys help me!" "Does the link affect me if I clicked it?? Somebody help me please!"

LOL!!!! Personally I was smart enough to sandboxie all the links.. so I did get to click them.. But yeah it was funny as hell.. and then a new thread started with the title: "What now, what do we do"

And all the admins flooded that thread to keep it undercontrol.. people were saying theyre going to rsbuddy and that iDungeon is the only reason to use powerbot.. People were saying beaker is an ass and that powerbot is going downhill while RSBuddy is going uphill..

Thats the whole story.. Enjoy the LOL's

With all of Powerbot's recent mishaps, I really hope it helps weaken their botting monopoly. People need to know that there are other bots out there than can achieve the same results, if not better, than Powerbot.

wat, I remember Jacmob saying something like "the upstream bot is waiting to be updated [before RSBuddy can be updated]", when RSBot was not updated. Shortly after RSBot updated, RSBuddy updated. Unless I just remember wrong.

No, Jacmob has always updated RSBuddy using his own updater. Recently, I believe, Paris approached Jacmob about updating RSBot, and I think he's been updating RSBot after RSBuddy has been updated for a certain period of time.

Qauters has been behind-the-scenes at RSBot for quite a long time. I don't know if he's currently updating the bot, but I wouldn't be surprised if Paris decided to pay him once again to update the bot.

That wouldn't be a smart move in his position.

In 2010 Jagex had managed to track down and sue Qauters, the managing director of the site. The result was an out of court settlement which included a fine of â&#8218;¬1000 and a contract for him to never reverse engineer or play RuneScape.

Yeah, I think everything got restored, because I went to bot chickens the other day, and there was 20 people there.

Rsbot getting hacked does not amaze me anymore.

RSBot is full of useless leechers, scammers etc.. Quite a pathetic community.
