Bots using these now are hilarious, especially in crowded botting places. I'm using Harry's Fisher and when I went to check it out some guy said "Hello Guys" and a lot of the bots there all said "Hello!" at the same time and do it every time you say hello guys. It's completely obvious but really funny.

I've tried it out at SW's, karamja, and draynor. It's an easy way to spot the really stupid botters that would use an autoresponder.

I remember you used to be able to start a chain reaction with some of the Draynor willow botters. You say hi to one in a PM and they'd say hi aloud, causing every bot around them to say hi. They'd all see everyone else saying hi and continuously greet one another. It was glorious.

It must have been a bug in whatever RSBot's most popular willow cutter is; sadly, it seems it has been fixed because this doesn't work anymore.

They are probably using Epicbot, my friend told me it has a really lame auto responder.

You mean using a shitty autoresponder. Some really nice ones can and have been made. I made one that had a cooldown time, didn't respond to the same person (and definitely not itself).

I also remember a script on RSbot had an auto responder for its woodcutter, so I would go to draynor and write hi and get 20 people reply back with a combination of "yo, sup, hey" etc …

Autoresponders are hard to make so they would be good. They usually use predefined text rather then generating it..

Never had that happen to me or any of my friends, so don't blame them. Someone might have downloaded it from a malicious download link.
