SRL Archive - RS3 Script Requests

Next big project...

Hey.

So I want to write a script that is a bit challenging, so I've come up with four possibilities based on common requests.

I might make the winning suggestion next :)

HarryJames

I'd suggest not dungeoneering, but I'm not saying don't :)
Which agility arena?

Simtoon

Global Fighter

I second Simtoon's request :)

My vote goes for this too.
Remember what we talked in MSN?
Try copy those features ;)

Tell me more about this global fighter idea.

NCDS

I would say Green dragon killer or Slayer script. A 'Global fighter' has been done many times and could easily be done again, but I would rather see something out of the ordinary.

slayer script, it's really just a fighter, walker, and a giant database. would be the first free slayer script ever :)

Finish adding fighting to MSI (it's already well on it's way, but it was abandoned a couple months ago). :)

Dungeoning :v Make it good and it can run forever (you won't get randoms at all).

If you can pull of dungeoneering, you are legend.

I imagine fighting would have to be finished before adding slayer, but it is certainly a possibility.

Looks like it's dungeoneering!
Time to get to it.

Step 1: rewrite object finding functions so there's no memory leaks :(

Waterfiends killer :) 70 Crimson charms per hour

I second this.

By the way, at the beginning of a new Dungeon there's always a specific set of objects at specific locations based on the dungeon, yes? Could you not use this to tell you exactly how the dungeon will be laid out? IF this is true…

Edit:

What features would be included in a Waterfiend killer?
  • Basic combat (R or C)
  • Health detection/food eating?
  • Prayer (range protect/deflect) while in combat
  • Maybe Prayer potions?

But what about the teleporting and banking? I think a simple ring of dueling (equipped) and Games Necklace (inventory) would be the obvious way to go.

Now that I think about it, I think this wouldn't be such a biggie to make, but I think the Prayer Potions would make for a net loss, unless we have the player pick up a list of valuable item drops.

Am I missing any big drawbacks that might get in the way?

No, the items and rooms are randomly-generated each time you open a room for the first time.

I wonder what would happen to Villavu's population if any of these scripts were released…

I figured the items are yes, but notice I said "specific set of objects at specific locations".

Dungeoneering script for sure :garfield:

If you decide to make a dungeoneering script, I'd be more than happy to lend a hand. I imagine most of it would be reflection anyways, a dungeoneering script completely in color would make my head explode.

and i doubt as anyone not using Java could write a dungeoneering bot solo without giving up.

I'd just use the Fairyrings, no teleporting needed. It would actually be a very simple script

  1. Kill Waterfiend
  2. Check for loot
  3. Check that we are far enough from dragons
  4. Bank if necessary

Flight

2011-05-11 00:36:41

I think FairyRings is a good suggestion, but I've personally not done that quest so all I could take on in the script is teleporting. But I agree, I think it would be fairly easy to do this.

bump.
/me lols @ the fact that after help request, replies cease :P

I have made the script basic layout and path finding etc. It can finish complexity 1 dungeons of any layout in the frost themed floors (up to the boss room). Writing boss fights now.

If anyone is willing, it'd be great to borrow an account with highish dungeoneering so I can get ID's & test more.
A few questions:
- How many themes are there?
- How many bosses are there?
- What is the best exp/time ?? (ie. how should the bot train?)

A few questions:
- How many themes are there? 5- Frozen, Abandoned I, Furnished, Abandoned II, Occult, and Warped
- How many bosses are there? depends on dung lvl(max is 30)
- What is the best exp/time ??imo best xp is in a group and since this is a bot, you have to do c6 each floor with the first few on c1 to save time (ie. how should the bot train?)

I got the answers from rs wiki :p

I'll answer all these outta my head. if you gain my trust you'll be allow to use my account. he's 78(will be 85 in a week) dung.

The other dude answered the easy questions so i'll answer the tougher one. The best EXP/TIME.
There are certain modifiers that affect exp gain/loss.
and they are as following:
Dying- the exp bonus for not dying is 0% but each time you die you lose a % of exp
Exploration- the more doors/rooms you unlock the more exp you get
Prestige- probably the most important out of them all. You want to complete dungeon floors back to back. all the way to the max floor and then reset your progress and start all over at floor 1.
Level- there is a modifier for your level, ignore this because its not based on anything you do but it's based on the character.
Time- although Dungeoneering doesn't specify this, obviously the faster you complete a dungeon the more exp you can get in a smaller amount of time. Something that people refer to as "rushing" is doing the low level floors on complexity 1 so that you complete them faster. then doing the higher floors 20+ on complexity 6. This is only faster exp if your dungeoneering level is significantly above 70. Also i wouldn't even advise this as the boss will kill you more often then not on the higher floors. Personal experiment show that doing all floors on C6 is the best exp/hr

Adam, have you seen iDungeon in progress? if you haven't let me know.
Start small, get a stable release and then add functionality later.
I would focus on getting the first 20 floors down. Complexity six.
you'll need to write a function for each individual boss fight.
:D

Iamadam

2011-05-13 18:43:18

Ok great.
Looks like complexity 6 is going to be necessary.
I haven't yet encountered a puzzle, but know they are coming. Are puzzles on most higher floors, and how many can I expect per dungeon?

Smartzkid

2011-05-14 14:06:32

I can lend you a ~60 dung account if you need it (or perhaps FRAPS it while iDP is going)

I know it looks like dungeoneering may be a popular suggestion, but what about an abyss runecrafter which supports deaths, bloods and laws?

I personally think in terms of gp wise, the abyss runecrafter would rule out other money making scripts. It is also a constant loop with a lot of running around and randoms are rather few so far, for me.

Just a thought tho :)

You only need to do the first 2 minutes of Fiarytale Part II, it's a very basic quest. No need to finish it.

I will be asking members of the community for help on some puzzle solving algorithms, and maybe boss fight strategy. I'll be doing the bulk of the coding though. In my experience, community projects don't work out well.
So if you want to help with writing an algorithm, so for it. Write me one that solves the 8 puzzle in the minimum number of moves.

They can work out sometimes, but the vast majority of the time they don't. I've worked on countless group projects over my 5 years in the cheating community, and very few have worked out well. (ARGA was the only one to work out well, and that was a tight, controlled team of 4).
