Delete your whole reflection folder and re-download with simba.

Odd. Mine failed to update as well. Manually copying the hooks from this thread got me running again, but who knows what will happen next update.

Yep my simba didnt pick up the new hooks.

Asked me to restart once then worked for me great after wards…

my reflection.sex got deleted out of the folder when the last update happened for rs.. on my main machine (virtual machines were fine) so idk if that changes it or what

Doesn't the Simba extension get updates from the git repository? According to this, nothing has been updated since April. 24th.

Here is the way it works right now:
1) Pyroryan's script queries if RS is out of date.
2) If it's out of date, updater notifies him and grabs most of the hooks.
3) Hooks are FTP'd (or some other method) to the link above @ net46.
4) When you run your script, it grabs the most recent hooks from there.

He doesn't have it automatically commit to github because it would require having his private key de-auth password saved in the script, which he probably isn't comfortable with (100% understandable).

Github's webpage that he changed it to does not automatically update from the repository, and that also requires the private key to commit to, so that's out of the question.

So yes, Simba autoupdater will say up to date, but then Reflection.simba will grab latest hooks when you press Play.

So right now, when you run a script, it will grab the most recent hooks from that webpage and save them to your Hooks.simba. Then when you rerun they work. Any better suggestions on how to handle it, understanding that github requires a private key?

Someone commit the hooks to github? Maybe not right away, but as soon as possible, so the updater works properly for everyone.

Github also supports old-school password authentication iirc. How about storing hooks not in the git but at some other external place which can be less secured? After all, it are just hooks..

They're currently FTP'd in manually. I'm over halfway done with the automatic FTP part. But no rush for me with finals :D

Pretty sure they require private key auth now, only. They should be committed "eventually" of course, he should get on that :p

I would assume it's connected somehow because that's how the MSI extension works, and my Reflection always updated as the git repo was updated.

I personaly would put them on the Srl SVN . as you can get files from SVN via http and Ftp or at least i can from my svn repo
then you just put them in a public repo and then have them taken from there . i only say this because Villavu allready has its own svn (that ibelieve is on a server owned by villavu ? so that you can have full controll over auths . ie just make a folder public to pull from and a password only for commiting the new hooks) dosent have to be svn but i know more about svn than git .. lol

The .tar.bz2s are updated from github. Wizzup's script fetches those commits. I suppose he could change it to handle pyroryan's site, but it's best being at one source.

probably just a temp thing? I'd say if it happens again within a few days then action should be taken!

Oh I wasn't sure if it just had been down for like a day

If it happens again just do SetupReflectionEx(False) instead of True, if the hooks aren't outdated then scripts should work, it they are then scripts won't.

Well I used to host them instead of pyroryan's free host, and the script didn't used to check for hooks unless loginindex was broken. He should host it on Google Code which you can (IIRC) commit without a private key, which I think he was planning on doing.
