I always lol at those funny advertisements these "uber-super-best-most free" bots have.
"Completely free, you don't have to pay, frankly you can't even pay for this bot it's that free, but to be sure we even pay YOU!"

Btw, I have used "Bot Three" from the second column of their premium bots. It worked like a third bot should.
On a more serious note(sorry just beaten Portal 2 the second time pretty much in a row): ^what Harry said.

It will steal your username and password, it was proven when someone on the powerbot website reverse engineered the client.
Edit: I wonder if the client would still work if you only allowed it to connect to runescape servers using a firewall … No but use this bot instead of epic bot www.powerbot.org/vb/

Powerbot has been reverse enginered to steal passwords in certain versions as well.

In versions 2.22-2.24, some admins uploaded their own client to the powerbot website so anyone who downloaded that got a botnet + had their account cleaned.
Thats why I always compile from source.
Oh and there is no need to lie. You don't need to reverse engineer something that is open source.

Yeah, but it wasn't reversed engineered at all, the person who did it posted on the forums telling the details about when free trade comes they will steal accounts and managed to go through 35,000 or something accounts.
Since that event there is strict rules when it comes to who can upload to the website and SVN. I have always compiled from source anyway so I don't need to worry about it stealing my password, and I am careful about the scripts I choose.
tl;dr - Epic bot steals accounts, powerbot is ok
Edit: Even if they did login to my accounts the most they will get is a rune pickaxe/axe, since I trade everything to my main whose details aren't saved on the client

Hmmm I've used epic bot for 1 month with my password username and pin.. and haven't gotten hacked.. but that was when it came out.. I guess I might be lucky?

Dunno, my cousin used it said the essence miner didn't work, she said it walked to the mines and did nothing and she had to mine herself then when she left it worked.
So they are lying by saying it is the best when it doesn't even work, and the next day her account was cleaned

Lots of people I know, IRL, use Epic Bot. Apparently it's really good for menial tasks such as power chopping, but isn't up to standard with other complex tasks: such as rune ess mining for instance.

No it wont steal your account but it will steal your details and take everything on your account so if you are happy to bot and then lose all your items, use epic bot.
