Keep in mind I'm YoHoJo, I make tons of typos and I typed this all in one go without reading over it or caring too much :p just some back-story for you guys.
(TL;DR at bottom)
Been waiting so anxiously forever, now that's it's here I don't know how I feel, still letting it sink in I guess. My parents are extremely happy for me which feels great since they bug me/are hard on me sometimes. I feel pretty calm and regular, but also in the back of my mind I'm very excited. Yeah it's a pretty good accomplishment, but it also just feels like something I'm supposed to do anyways.
So I didn't do super well in High School and got into no UC (UCs are the more expensive/prestigious Universities in California Vs the 'Stats Universities') which felt kind of bad, but I sort of expected it, it is EXTREMELY competitive to get in straight from high school.
So for two years I went to a 'Community College' which is like poo poo shit school where failures go (exaggeration :p) but many people go for there 2-3 year transfer programs. This basically works by declaring a major, taking the proper course, and maintaining a certain GPA to ensure your acceptance to a UC. You save TONS (Multiple tens of thousands of dollars) of money and loose no time at all.
So I lived at home for 2 years and life went on like normal, while all of my friends were off in college being cool and successful :p. I honestly didn't feel to bad, I just took a different path than them, so I was fine with it.
Now, two years, 60 units, 3.7+ GPA, and LOTS of stressful waiting later, I finally get into one of the schools I was looking forward to the most UC Davis, the (arguably) 3th/4th best UC, where two of my BEST friends go who I will be moving in with (Going to be video games and trollin and crazy fun bro time ALL DAY I really can't wait to be living with two of my BEST friends 24/7!)
So after a bunch of stress and waiting I got in, I feel mixed feelings, but I'm so happy!
