Screen Recording Program for a Live Stream

First day of the NASL is today, excited as hell!

Anyways, I'm going to have class for some of the beginning of it so I won't be able to see it.

It is going to be streamed live online, so my question is what is a reliable screen recording program I can use to record it while I am gone?

Those are the two I know off the top of my head. They work exceptionally well for what I've needed to record in the past.

also hypercam

used to go with the ones he posted above.. but hypercam is now free & it has proven a few times to be better for me


well I mean for free software I'd definitely go for hypercam

I would have to say FRAPS is the best imo; otherwise use Camtasia.

The encoding of the video, it either uses a crap load of memory or has terrible graphics

ah lol, probably why I've never seen anything wrong xD

Does fraps work on 64bit yet? last time I tried it, it wouldn't even install

FRAPS has worked fine on 64bit for more than a year now…

Looks like the "10th February 2011 - Fraps 3.2.9 Released" update log shows they fixed the 64bit error I always got

I'll check it out



fraps is definitely the best screen recorder for windows

Ugh I have trouble with getting sound recorded for some reason.
CamStudio and Hypercam videos both have no sound.
Anyways, no problem I just missed some of it (on purpose) and am enjoying the stream right now :]. 26K+ people watching it WOO!
