Hello SRL,
Some of you were probably wondering where I was, some of you already knew. I was just released from the hospital this morning after being in it for a week. I thank everyone who gave me their best wishes!
I went in last week because my throat had swollen up and was so sore I could not talk nor even swallow my own spit. I had a peritonsillar abscess that was quite bad. Also because the pain and minor swelling had started a few days prior to me going to the hospital I had drank very little fluids so I was dehydrated. The dehydration combined with a fever of 104 caused by the infection made my brain feel like it was being charbroiled.
Long story short, I'm back at home but still wont be overly active because I have very little energy. They still have me on uber powerful antibiotics that I have to get at the hospital via IV every 12 hours. Those leave me pretty wiped so I sleep a large amount of the time.
For those of you who always say "pics or gtfo"…
(Warning this is a picture of the IV line in my arm, don't look if you don't like needles)
