Hello.

Hey everyone, names Christian obviously. I'm new around here, friend told me I should start scripting, so I thought, Why not? Could be fun. So I'll be around here, possibly asking questions every here and there. Hope I'll be able to help around also.
I've been into Runescape for several years now, and started botting two years ago or so. Runescape was my time to relax and just hang out with friends I guess. Then I got into botting and decided it was much easier. I don't have much experience with coding, but I know a little of the C family. I am more into Networking, but my friend said to try out some scripting, make some bots, it's fun. So I came here, the best place for myself to learn probably.
Some extra information.
I'm currently 13, going onto 14 in a few days (April 12th). I may be young, yes, but I'll try my best to fit in;). I'm from Alaska, and love to learn new things. I tend to write a lot, and like to help around. So you might see a guide or two out of me later on. I am usually decently active around forum communities, so I don't plan on just staying here for a week. I'll just set my tents here, and relax.

Welcome to SRL! It definately is one of the nicest communities I've been a part of, I love it here! Why not tell us some of your background with Runescape, botting, and programming if you have any? I'd like to hear about it.

Age is not a limit, the only thing that limits you here would be a lack of ambition. If you want it to happen, then there's nothing holding you back. Here at SRL you have all the resources available at your finger-tips, truck loads of very nice people willing to
jump at the opportunity to help you out and answer your questions, don't be afraid to ask!
We don't criticize anyone from their lack of knowledge (thank goodness for me), as this is a learning community, open for anyone to join. :) I'm sure I can speak for all of us when I say "Welcome to SRL community!".
Edit: I almost forgot, if you'd like to see some proof of the integrity of our Scripts, just take a look at the Stats page
HERE. It's sorta like a highscores for our scripts, showing how long we ran each one, what the script did for us and to what extent.

Thanks there, yeah, I'm not the brightest when it comes to programming/scripting/coding. Whichever of those you'd like to call it. But, that's why I'm here eh'? To learn, and to help others.

Anyways, welcome! Pascal should be a piece of cake considering you already have some C based language experience. Make sure you use the
search button before asking a question. Because odds are it has already been asked :p I hope you enjoy your stay :)

Welcome! :) You should try scripting fo' sure. It's entertaining, and easy to learn. I know how to script (at least I think I do),but I'm too damn lazy to finish scripts in color. The biggest script I ever had was one I was going to use for my SRL Membership app; A falador chopper which will automatically chop trees till 15, oaks till 30, willows till 60, then yews for the rest. It worked well and was 100% color, but just when I was finishing it up RuneScape updated fonts and everything I did was basically reset for a month or so.

Welcome to the forum, scar is easy to learn and you need no previously experience to understand it, but of-course its an advantage that you already know a little C. also whenever you get stuck somewhere don't hassle with asking for support on the forum. good luck!
