Hey guys!
So, I recently changed from win xp 32bit to win 7 64 bit. I now have 8 gb ram, intel core 2 duo CPU @ 2,2 ghz each, geforce 8600m gs 256mb video card and 320 gb HD. So, here's the case. I can't anymore run 2 simbas going smooth. (it was fine in win xp32). I had the xp turned to max performance tho, my win 7 is looking really neat, all on appereance, so, to make them run smooth at once, should I change to performance based, and is that normal, that my (i think it is) fairly nice laptop can run only 1 simba smooth? :(
Any help is welcome,
~Eerik.

you should be getting a lot more out of you laptop.
I have a dell 64-bit Pentium dual core 2.0 ghz(each) 4 gb ram, no dedicated gfx card(it steals from the ram) and a 320gb hardrive(irrelevant). i can get 3 simbas running or up to five running(if the scripts are not heavily cpu intensive, IE the do not use walkpath)

Oh dang, I have no clue then.. I really have no idea what could cause that…
E: Does win 7 download ALL the drivers for my hardware? Because in win xp I had to install them from a CD, but my win 7 won't accept the CD anymore, so I guess it will do it for me?

Check your Computer Model on the webz for drivers.
Check if it supports Win7.

^ stupid name changers.
Check if Windows is actually detecting your dualcore as a dualcore, it detected my quadcore as a singlecore (no wonder it was slow). To check: crtl-alt-escape, go to the prestations tab and count the CPU graphs.

Hermen, it suports win7, it has drivers also.
Markus, @Control Panel -> System it says:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5900 @ 2.20GHz 2.19GHz.
I think it detected both of them.
iTry, thanks for all the help! <3
It runs much smoother now. But CPU is still at 90% with 2 simbas running.

Yeah all of them are running perfectly. I had it on use less CPU for each client so it had lower FPS but it was still really good
