Stats for randoms

I notice all the stats for the randoms, both solved and unsolved are all 0.

Looking in stats.simba I see that names for the randoms are assigned:

stats_RandNames := ['leo the gravedigger', 'freaky forester', 'maze',
'prison pete', 'evil bob''s island', 'drill demon',
'quiz', 'surprise exam', 'mollys evil twin', 'pinball',
'sandwich lady', 'bee keeper', 'pillory', 'capn arnav',
'abyssal teleport', 'certer', 'mime', 'frog', 'trade',
'mod', 'fight', 'lamp', 'bird nest', 'death'];

But these do not correspond in any way to actual variables listed on the stats page. For example the actual variables for Leo are Leo (Solved) and Leo (Unsolved).

I tried manually adding these variables to my commits with the proper names but still see no values appearing. (Which would work for me as I can control when to properly report an unsolved random.)

My next thought was perhaps I have to manually add those to my script, except there is no option to add those variables to your script. They are not in the drop-down list.

At which point I have no problem admitting "I dunno" and asking for help.

Wizzup?

Variables are automatically on your script: they are special variables. I'm not sure if the Stats implementation was ever completed with randoms support.

I'll have to go with no since they since they all read 0 despite many many scripts reporting to stats.

Guess thats one hour of my life I won't get back, copying all the variables from the stats website and coding them in. Too bad. Seems a waste to have them there but not updated.

Edit: I stand partially corrected. Manually adding the variables for solved (using the name listed on the stats website) does work. Manually adding the variables for unsolved does not.

Which means my stats variable incrementing is wrong in my script somewhere. Back to the drawing board. I swear I will never finish this blasted script…

Well, the randoms reported should really be done by SRL. You shouldn't spent too much time on it if you just want to finish your script. :)

IIRC all that needs to be done is call and IncVariable wherever a random is actually solved. The actual stats code has it, it just wasn't added to the randoms routines.

Yeah thats what I've done.

How? Did you add it directly to SRL or in your script? I was talking about adding it to SRL.

That wouldnt be hard at all. Just add a stats_incvariable(for the findrandoms thing) and another if solved successfully.
