Livid Farm
Next
Rakes, spades and dibbers are on standby as the Moon Clan are using magic to tend their new farm. Don’t expect it to be all tomatoes and cabbages; instead Pauline Polaris is cultivating a crop of the Jade Vine that has been drastically enhanced by lunar magic. Being typically tenacious, the Jade Vine has been morphed into a new strain of plant called 'livid'.
Pauline is overworked and needs your help in performing all the tasks about the farm using your lunar spellbook. Cure plants, fertilise soil, fix fences and perform many other activities to be rewarded with plenty of experience in Magic, Farming, Construction, Crafting and Agility. The Livid Farm is intended to be a fast-paced and quick-to-grasp area where you can train multiple skills at one time.
You will be able to cast each lunar spell in the Livid Farm even without the required Magic level, but you'll gain less XP and the rewards will come more slowly.
As an extra 'thank you', Pauline is willing to share her knowledge and teach you some new lunar spells, such as Remote Farming, Vengeance Group and Disruption Shield, to name just a few. Unlock all of these spells and you'll be able to purchase 'wishes', giving you temporary skill benefits.

Summary:
Where to find the Livid Farm:
On the north of Lunar Isle.
Requirements to use the Livid Farm:
70 Magic
60 Agility
60 Crafting
60 Farming
50 Construction
Lunar Diplomacy
In other news…
In preparation for the launch of clan support next week, the Clan Camp is in the process of setting up just outside of Falador’s south wall.
Around the Clan Camp, you’ll probably also notice a lovely new graphical look for the trees. When chopping these particular trees, you’ll be 10% more likely to receive bird’s nest (and yes, this does stack with a lucky rabbit’s foot).
A farming update wooo.. most boring skill haha
The Remote Farming spell allows you to check the status of your patches and cure them; Repair Rune Pouch unsurprisingly repairs and reinforces your rune pouches; and you’ll be able to deal fiery death with Vengeance Group. Unlock all spells and you’ll get ‘wishes’, which offer temporary effects as wide-ranging as vialling your herbs automatically and raining seeds about your feet.

THE TREES ARE SO UGLY. And they ruined (I think, anyways) my willow cutter. The hitboxes on the trees are so messed up as well… horrible update, hope the trees go back to the way they were.

Too bad my farming isn't even high enough to use it yet! :p (I've got all the other requirements filled though :))

+1. UGLY as hell lol. WDF ?
From: Runescape Forums
1) South Falador Tele
Redundant. Anyone with the stats to access Livid Farm will have access to an Explorer's Ring with this teleport, unlimited, for free.
2) Repair Rune Pouch
This is great, I admit.
3) North Ardy Tele
Near total redundancy. Again, a player with access to the farm will most likely have Ardy Cape 3/4, and even if not, there are umpteen other teleports that render this one pointless.
4) Remote Farming
The absurd ease of accessing most patches with existing transport (1min<;) makes this pretty pointless, as well.
5) Spiritualise Food
Might be useful. A bit. But probably not.
6) Make Leather
Boy, good thing we finally got this, huh? Without this handy spell, we'd have to pay a whole 100gp per 5 Black Dhides! That's far less than the cost of runes required to cast it. And in no way is sitting through the animation 6 times in order to complete a full inventory slower than running the six steps to do the same thing with a single click in Al Kharid.
7) Disruption Shield
This is a great addition! To pkers. Who train farming. Extensively. Problem, logic?
8) Vengeance Group
Hey, did you know it takes 69,159 casts of the spell that provides the most Produce Points at the Livid Farm, just to unlock this? Neat! Also, see above.
Now, onto the wishes. Considering a player will have had to sit through AT LEAST 69,159 casts just to access them, they seem juuust a tad underpowered, don't you think? But I'll reserve the majority of my judgment on these, seeing as we don't know their magnitude yet.
So, disregarding the above as pointless and disappointing, what does that leave the Livid Farm to boast about?
Why, it makes RS easier, of course. Like you had to ask.

Yeah, and everyone on RS forums are like "omg awesome sexy trees". Are my eyes just bad, or what? They are horrible and ugly, just like Jagex's other useless graphical update of Lumbridge Swamp where you can't even see the ore anymore. The new graphical designer/whoever's idea it is to keep changing these locations at Jagex needs to be fired.

Oh god no, the trees are horrendous and too large for the fixed screen - one normal tree can fill the whole screen. Wtf is with the black shit around the roots??

Yeah its bottable for sure.. u can stand on one spot and just cast the spells..
The second thing is gained 30k farming exp in 1 hr.
It just so god damn boring.. I was there when it just came out.. it was packed as hell and then bam only about 20 was left. after that 1st hr.. people were saying jagex released it to make the runes rise again.. and that probably is why the stuff costs like 83k points just for a stupid teleport!

To everyone that's saying the trees are terrible looking…are your graphic settings on low or what?
I'm on high and resizeable screen, and they look fantastic. Can't wait for this to happen to the rest of Runescape.
That veng group spell would have been pretty amusing if you could still veng other in the wilderness would be a lot of double deaths :p

Still tho:
Would cost you like 47.2 GP to tan 1 hide.
So 27 GP more than the tanner in Al kharid.
However, would you make up the loss in how many tans you could tan per hour. (Making profit).
Plus the fact you can make your own runes, fire runes, astral runes etc. Would be all profit then

No?. Astral rune like 110 (GE Mid) and Fire run 3?.
220 + 6 = 226
226 / 5 = 45.2 ?
Each cast tans 5 hides

I wouldn't even count the fire runes.. I'd expect people to use a fire staff. Body runes cost like two. :p

So every tree is an aged-full grown giant that covers 25% of the screen on fixed?

I just updated MSI (not actually being circulated as an update quite yet) to handle the new willow trees. :) If you feel like trying it run the Port Sarim willows script.

Kind of defeats of the purpose of using a speedier script if you're going to lose truckloads of money in opportunity costs by crafting your own runes.

The trees look more realistic, but they kinda overdid it with the size… Would be nice if they shrinked them a tad.
But if you look at them on fixed screen setting, two trees can block your entire screen lol :duh: hope they change them back!

I just saw the new trees as I was running through falador.. WOW they look cool!!!!!!!!
The older trees around member areas now have a big invisible box around them.. I didn't see these new graphics trees, they're very cool imo

I think a bit smaller would be good.. but for a "forest" area these sizes are decent.

How would you loose money?. If you can tan 2k an hour with magic and 1k with tanner then it somewhat even.
Ive not done the math.
Tanning hides = money only no exp
Might be a cheap way to get magic exp
