Hmm would it be possible to write a script to allow 2 bots to communicate in game ie .. private messaging ..


i was thinking of a sytem where 1 bot finishes in its location and messages the other bot a word .. the other bot then moves in and continues while the first one moves one ..

i think it would provide interesting possibilities for armys .. lol ..

any examples .. or .. ideas

Yes. All you have to do is know who to talk to and what to say. It's just typing and clicking.

Well my friend's asked me to write a script, and as we will be running 5 mini armies, he want's it so that they can all communicate.

I think a better idea is to write to a file they can both read from (assuming they're run from the same computer), but yeah, you could do this.

We have more than enough space online to have it be read not on the same computer. It could easily be hosted on github even.

I would say sockets but they a blocking….

Whith the private message option you could also talk to other peoples bots with a codeword .. ie

meet at bank . wouldnt work

or even public chat with a code

But then those could easily be used by jagex to see if we're botting! :o

It would work for private scripts between a few people at most. But if say, a whole community started using it, then it would be very obvious and a good way for Runescape to see who is botting, using that script.

I can't think of a practical application for inter-bot communication outside of rune running.

It's already easy to get away with botting without autotalking so I don't think it's necessary at this point.
The simpler the better although I would definitely try to implement this if it could significantly speed up leveling or goldfarming in any way.

This is very easy to do, use SendInterSCARMessage/ReadInterSCARMessage
you can also use file control as suggested.

Or you just set up a small database with the structure:

How can this be done in SIMBA though?
I've seen no sources which allow it to be done, nor any tutorials or other scripts.

Im not sure if you can do it in simba, but in scar its like this.

Use InputQuery as I did in my aimbot. It opens a window with a message, and a result var. Here's where I used it :

You could also try ripping the way Harry checks for/updates his scripts from some secret website of his.

I actually wrote a system like this before. Was actually raw. You could run away procedure with any parameters :p just by messaging your bot. You could also define keywords, add custom commands, etc.

This is called RC btw. I am not sure if it is still in SRL though…it hasn't been updated for years iirc. However, this is a little hard to do as PS doesn't have true multithreading so..this may be possible with extensions :o.

This has been done many times before. How short the memory of a community is. But maybe everything was members and up, dont recall. There was a system that communicated one-on-one prerecorded conversations through private, or even public chat. The chats where organized in a SQL database and strings send to the two clients.

Also used was a remote command system allowing bot to chat through a private chat command. I always loved standing next to my bots having a public convo.

Finally there was(is) an ingame multiplayer reset include RC (for Remote Control) through private chat. Master logs in, bots give (through private chat) info on all players, Master manually resets players and signals bots that players are reset, and script goes on and on and on.
