RsBuddy/Other Java Bots

I just visited RSBuddy's homepage, wow they did a really nice job making it look professional. The bot itself looks like most other java bots but I found the interface very clean and nice looking too!
Also, how many of you out there use java bots regularly (which ones do you use), are the ban rates really high (if you auto SAFELY) as people say, or are the people who complain about bans just people who auto carelessly?

The ban rates are probably a little higher, as more people use them, but nothing substantial or anything caused due to them being Java bots.
I don't like them because I don't like Java is all. Same reason I don't really play RS anymore. (Not the language itself; mostly the JVM.)

The bots are real nice and run very fast. Just be cautious i've heard of people getting hacked using them. :(
That's why when I run them I don't provide the bot with my login info.
Other than that I recommend RSBuddy.
About the ban rates, I think that if you play smart you won't get banned.
But you shouldn't worry too much about getting banned, now-a-days Jagex just rolls your stats back.
It also depends on what skill you bot, I heard hunter has high ban rates :/.
Edit: Their Dungeoneering bot is Amazing, as I can't stand to train that "Skill"
Um, I use RSBot like every dayuh. But I don't trust that shitty community and their crap scripts; I make my own. No ban yet so…
I'm never going to use RSBuddy because I don't think it's open-source so I can't check if there is account stealing.
@Spirit: Last time I looked through the client, there was a field that stored the username and password so if it's still there and my memory is not completely wrong good luck lol.

From my experience, the ban rates seems to be about 0% for any bot no matter how much you abuse it. If you get banned I guess it's just bad luck.
I've been running accounts close to 24 hours per day for the last 4 months with no bans. Also, keep in mind though I only run them for one or two months and then stop. If you ran them for longer the ban rate could possibly go up but I don't know I've never done it.
If you're worried about RSBot/RSBuddy stealing your details, just log in yourself and then run the script, without saving your details.

You guys know they can probably get the player's username/password in a single line of code?

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were accessible from somewhere. You can get pretty much everything else from the client.

The scripts could be easily keylogged, or even the client itself I'm sure.
Knowing this, I use them all the time.
No, the password should not be accessible. Maybe a hash but not the plaintext password. It should do authentication server-side.

IIRC User/Pass are just regular hooks in the client. RS uses some kind of asymmetric encryption to get the password through, not RSA but ECDSA?

This. It wouldn't be hard at all to write a keylogger.
I downloaded RSBuddy, and it looks like a cross between RSBot and iBot.
Actually love their site theme

I use:
- SRL
- RSBot
- RSBuddy
- iBot (I only have a soul wars auth that I got from a friend - rarely used)
- RiD (I only have MTA, and I've used about 50 hours of the 100 I purchased)
I have > 80 days (I can tell by looking at my adventurer's log on the RS Website) of play time, and my account was made in august of 2010. No bans, no marks. Total level > 1800. Hurray!

I decided to try out that dungeoneering bot from them aswell, if it works good it might find a place in my nightly script running.

I suggest TRiBot, it's made by TRiLeZ and uses very similar functions to SRL. His is all open source and completely free, very few know about it apparently.

I have recently turned over to using powerbot to train my mage and I knew about the recent accounts being stolen so i was only using 4+ star scripts and I decided to try a different alcher out and found myself hacked after about 10k alchs with the bot…. I still have the account but I agree that the community there is crap trying to get help is impossible. That is why I love this forum you get quick help when you really need it. Im still using one of thier woodcutting scripts but I took my account information out and set a bank pin.

The client stores the username and password that you login with. The fields are not encrypted what-so-ever. RSBot injects getters into the client for these fields, so it/scripts can get your username and password whenever you login.

Do you think you can add an option to manually increase/decrease the mouse speed? I'd like for it to be a bit slower. :]
Running well, and yes Fixed screen was my problem, the XP screen is handled properly now thanks.
I see you had a problem with fixed screen size, YoHoJo. Funny =P

It is not. It's a separate closed-source project made by some of the guys that split off rsbot after the account stealing issues and after a couple of people that shouldn't have been staff became staff.

I have not heard of any bans in a long time.
I 24/7 pretty much all my accounts that I run going back like 5 months and no bans yet.
My main has over 150M xp, several 99's, sold off lots of gold, etc. Doesn't seem like Fagex cares anymore.
Sorc garden is soooo obvious, that you would have to be blind to miss all the bots. Sometimes there's an error, and it clicks inside the maze when you're outside, then the character runs into some random corner and then back to the gate. You'll see a stream of people do the same awkward run off to the side lol.

I know jagex doesn't really care about bots right now, but come on why would you bot there :( do something less obvious! There are also better ways to make cash faster.

Find me something that makes 200k+/hr with very little requirements (65 thiev takes less than a few days at constant botting - only real requirement for sorcgarden), without a ton of "starter money" needed, easy to script for, and then I'd agree with you :p

Used ProDungeon (something like that) to get 11 accounts 20 dung, worked great. It's very popular and widely used. I highly suggest watching it for the first few minutes (DUH, for any bot!) while it sets everything up/enters dungeon, a lot of java scripters tend to lack failsafes….
Once it sets your floor/complexity and enters the dungeon you should be all good, never had any problems after that step!

You can use RSBots break handler but I'm botting 2 accounts ~15-20 hours each at a time. 1 - ~67 both.

That script is probably one of the most used bots at the moment ;) Dungeoneering is just too boring and time consuming to do legit.
I'm using iDungeon Pro now, and it's pretty good. The only thing is that it (my character) seems to die quite a bit.

Timer has told me that he put some (somewhat) malicious code in his bots (search for "Timer" (no quotes, obvi) on rsbuddy), which is why I don't trust rsbuddy. Not because of his stuff, but just because there are apparently a lot of people who use his bot(s) and all can be found out. Anyone can do the same thing, but worse.

I change my password through browser about 3 seconds after any script logs in that isn't from srl..

thanks for that though.. I was reading other sites about his accounts etc and I see quite a few accusations against him so I never trusted rrl or anything since I'm pretty code writing ignorant
