Range check error (function LoggedIn)

I don't know if this is an issue on my part or an SRL based issue, but I always get this error when I use MakeCompass('n');

Exception: Range check error at line 110

The error is being thrown by this in players.scar:

function LoggedIn: Boolean;
var
cx, cy: Integer;
begin
Result := FindColor(cx, cy, 16777215, 439, 491, 440, 492);//This line
end;

Keep in mind the script I am using isn't using SMART, I am running it on the webclient. Is anyone else getting this error?

Hmm I dont see anything wrong with the code.. it seems to search a 1x1 box.. which may be the problem.. try making it a 3x3 box.. rather than 1x1…

FindColor(cx, cy, 16777215, 438, 490, 441, 493);

P.S. I think what might be happening is that the client size is wrong.. which is why its out of range :S Lets say u search for a colour outside the client area then It will throw that error at you. I havent tested the above but u can try it. If it still gives the error I guess its safe to assume the client is smaller than the area being searched (outside the client area).. Example: Client area is 800x600 and your searching for a colour at 801 by 601.. it will definitely give u that error. Try using the drag tool and re-select the window when doing it.. or check if its fixed 800x600? OR make sure your searching in the correct area :S

I don't think the client dimensions have changed recently, so I don't really understand why I would be getting this error as a result of the coordinates :p

I haven't been able to run a script in a browser for some time now. I don't know about anyone else, but when I have RS open in a browser, it "flickers" quite frequently. When that happens, the RS window is "de-selected" as Simba's client, and the client is reset back to the desktop. I'm willing to bet that has something to do with your error.

Interesting. So this issue would actually be Simba related as apposed to script related?

The issue is that I cannot use SMART (and ultimately reflection) with this specific script because SMART does not currently support non-English worlds :(

You can't just choose to go to a non-english world?

And I wouldn't say the issue is with Simba, I'd say it's with the client itself. But then again, I don't really know how the Simba client target actually works.

I get this when I attempt to enter a non English world with SMART:

Invalid world number or corrupted world list. Please review your settings

Maybe I have to add the world to worlds.ini?

Oh well I think that should be fixable. I'll have to look into it when I have more time as I'm not sure exactly how the world switcher works. Is there anything special to non-english worlds? Or are they just another world on the list?

Anything in the English Runescape client jar that references a word or string is different to fit the language of those world servers.

Edit: Looks like I got it to load :eek:

I tried my script on it, but it just sat until I stopped it. I guess SMART just isn't capable of multi-world botting yet.

Are you sure it's SMART? Maybe it's SRL..

I'm having the same problem.

Got this when using bitmaps… The flicker caused it.
What I did is just add a try…except…finally so it wouldn't terminate my script.

Like this:
function CurrentShape: Integer;
var
i, x, y, h: Integer;
b: Boolean;
begin
h := High(Shapes);
for i := 0 to h do
begin
try
b := FindBitmapToleranceIn(Shapes[i], x, y, 442, 253, MSX2, MSY2, 10);
except
finally
end;
if b then
Result := i;
end;
end;
