Can anyone help me out?.

Looking to make a staker but dont have a clue where to start lol.
I heard 1 def pure's are good?

Anyone got any good setup's? or Guides?

40 attack, 1 defense, and high strength for sure. From there, you can choose to train range and mage if you want. Try to keep your prayer low or at 1 if possible since prayer isn't a big factor in f2p staking.

Yeah I don't think Prayer would be worth it until 70-95. Apparently box-staking is most popular way to stake, I kinda like it, makes the fight simpler and less margin for unfair advantages.

I made a thread like this earlier, got all kinds of different replies.
'Zerkers' seems popular, you can google that.
I've also heard 'boxing' is popular.

No one will box you in f2p… last i checked dueling arena was capped at 40k… if by staking you mean no arm fights for $$ in the wildy; I suggest 99 range and 90+str, att and def doesn't make much of a difference, my pker is so old im 99range 99str 75+att 75+def 60+pray f2p stakes all day ;)

(i've pwnt 99def nubs, also got owned by 99att 99str 99 hp not-rated def..)

How about boxing in P2P?. What kinda stats am i looking for that.

40+70 = 110/1.5= 73

so get 40 attack, 70 str, and 73 ranged
use maple short, then rune 2h k0

I've seen people make 1B+ gp by staking with a 99 Defense, 99 Mage account :p

From what I hear this is ideal for f2p PKing but not f2p staking.
Also you might want to explain that equation you used, was that t show that you could gain 73 ranged levels without growing a combat level?

Yes, you are correct, that would be for f2p pking. However, it has worked for me in f2p staking as well. It really comes down to user preference.

The equation i used determines the max ranged level one can have while still being meele based(ie, not raising your combat lvl).

take your ranged lvl and multiply it time 1.5. if your result is greater then your attack+strength then you are ranged based. This same equation is true for magic.

therefore the following account would be an ideal f2p pker:
40 attack
70 strength
73 ranged
73 maged
67 Hitpoints(your hitpoints will be higher if you train magic with combat spells)
Combat Level: 52
I might note that any stat you raise will gain you a combat level.

i would make a mage boxer, i make decent money with my acc although it isnt really a staking acc or is it :p (lvl 100 90+ def 99 mage range)
- Btw if its only for staking make sure your prayer is either really low or that you keep it at one.

f2p staking?

Get 40 attack, 20~ strength, 40 defence (WITH DRAGON SLAYER DONE), 1 prayer, 80+ range, mage must be below your range level, and 50 dung. Basically this strategy you wear full rune with a sighted maple longbow. Meleers/pures won't be able to hit you, but you'll be able to hit through rune and very accurately on pures. This is from personal experience.

My current f2p staker is; 68 attack, 25 strength, 69 defence, 76 hp, 25 magic (teleing), 1 prayer, 84 range, 1 summon and 50 dung. And I'm 77 combat. I usually stake anyone under level 85, and win 99% of the time. 40k stake after another makes pretty good money :P Eventually I'm going to make this a p2p melee boxer, which my melee stats are good for, and the range levels to get hp up (ideally, high attack/defence, low strength)

Thanks dude. Any tips or is it just a straight forward duel? Any style switching ? weapon switches? etc.

If you range, like me, all you need is to put it on Rapid.

But if you're melee boxing, then you'll need to switch attack styles.. I'm sure there's some guides on youtube, it would be kinda difficult to explain what to do with just a post.
