I was walking one of my bots to the GE, I decided to bank and this is what I saw.

There is nothing wrong with using your forum name as your Runescape name, lots of people do, some of them bot on those accounts, some of them don't, jagged still needs 'proof'.

Meh, they technically don't need proof haha. 7 out of my 9 total accounts banned weren't shown any evidence, so it's not like they truly need it.

It amazes me that people still think Jagex needs proof to ban people for anything.. They can ban every account in the game at any point if they so please. And they could go on here and ban any account that shared forum names.

And then I would repeal or whatever and win. Yeah they cam do whatever they want because it's their game, you always pull this argument, if they screw around with their userbase enough everyone will leave.

I doubt Jagex bans for having a name that is a confirmed name in the cheating community. For example, Speljohan used to have his forum name as his ingame name about 2 months ago and he's still not banned :p

Yeah that's a good point. They've no ground to ban someone based on their forum name linked to in-game name. It's fully within their power to do so with no questions asked, but I think their bot problem at large wouldn't be reduced by any from targeting individuals from a cheating forum. In other words, they've bigger fish to fry.:stirthepot:

But that does give me an idea. Maybe I'll create an army of Tarajunky1, Tarajunky2, Tarajunky3, etc to bot and suicide bot them using a personal script to see what happens.

My guess is that none of them would be banned. Jagex is out to lunch.

Lol. Makes me imagine a little sign saying "OUT FOR TEA!" on the Jagex auto detection group (read: a computer running Windows 98).

Yeah… "Narcle" was banned even though I didn't bot on it. Got to level 115 too.

Funny thing, they put a minor macroing on it in 2008 which expired, but then put a major macroing on it from 2006 - which I don't think I was even part of SRL yet. The major is what got it perm banned, and I mean perm banned.

"unkown_cause" was banned in the aryan banning days. I actually haven't had a character perm banned since then :O!

Well I'm guessing its because when my friend was playing on him (we were swapping accounts back and forth playing each other) he got a message from someone asking if I was from SRL or something. I didn't get the full convo. 4 days later-ish got perm banned.

I don't see how they can ban you for botting if you're not botting though.
C'mon jagex..

Again, they can ban you for eating pineapple slices in PvP instead of sharks if they want. :p
