The past month Gaddafi has killed nearly 10,000 of his OWN people.
What do yall think?

I haven't been following what exactly has been happening or even what the cause is. All I've heard is it's something to do with religion wars? And the country itself is in a state of quarantine. But if what you said is true, then I agree with IceFire908.

There is an insurrection going on inside Libya that has very little to do with the rest of the world. How would we have liked it if Britain or France had allied with the Confederacy in the US civil war?

The North did quite a few unscrupulous things in that war, like Sherman's March to the Sea, and the burning of Charleston. What if Europeans decided that they needed to intervene and stop the war crimes by sinking all the Union boats? We might have had a million casualties instead of -only- 400,000.

I really don't understand the point of all this. Supposedly the goal is to impose a "no-fly zone" over Libya, but we have US, French, and British bombers taking out Libyan tanks. Again, it doesn't add up.

Instead of allowing Gaddafi to have to answer for his own actions, we're going to turn him into a martyr fighting against the Great Satan, America.

Thats one thing I also do not quite understand. He is committing war crimes though. There might be a hidden agenda behind all this.

Well people have always had rulers like this and there are countless places where it is still like this, how ever i belive the only reason the west is getting involed is because they hold oil.

The US has always wanted Gadaffi gone, but the actions approved by the UN Security Council do NOT allow Gadaffi to be targeted or removed.

The other problem is that Obama had absolutely no Constitutional authority to launch a military strike on Libya. None. This is the first instance I can think of where a US President unilaterally launched a military strike on a country without the approval of Congress or an ongoing military campaign.

We could still attack North Korea at any time, because a treaty was never signed, only a cease fire. The same with Iraq, where there was only a cease fire in place after the Gulf War. This is a whole different animal. It's like Obama has no respect at all for the Constitution.

UN sent the troops, because of genocide.

Vietnam? The entire purpose of going there was to stunt the growth of Communism iirc. Congress never approved that one as well.

Cause there was already a decree made that said the US would practice containment

The UN doesn't trump the US Constitution. Obama isn't the President of the World.

Also, Congress approved military action in Vietnam with the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution.

The president is allowed to declare war that doesn't need to approved by congress for 90 days.

It looks like Vice President Biden already weighed in on the Constitutionality of a President launching a military strike against a sovereign nation without Congressional approval..

I'm not an Obama fan of any sort, but he has every right to exercise commander in chief of the armed forces with no need of approval for 90 days. So I don't understand the argument here.

Its also fucking stupid how they are stopping Air strikes where as the most damage they are doing is on the ground. This whole thing seems fishy and money talks.

Yep I agree, but its the US we are talking about, they already have troops in iraq/iran(and some places near there) now they're taking over libya, its very likely they're using the current situation to deploy their troops and take control of the country to get whatever natural resources it has.
