Mod Mark in my opinion is speaking bullshit bout the rollbacks.. He doesnt have to rollback all account XP at all.. thats a load of crap.. They rollback Bots 1 by 1.. They have logs of when players were botting or gained a huge amount of cash and therefore must know what players abused the glitch or was there during that time interval.

Oh yeah thats cuz there is a strike on forums… everyone is striking climbing boots so that jagex fixes the ring of wealth thing and rolls back the accounts… one clan alone has gotten 5.2+billion in one trip.. And this wasnt just the Corp beast but it happened to all boss dropping monsters.. so I assume most items will be dropping like shit considering a few 10's of billions entered RS in just 45 minutes..

I don't understand the post on the Runescape forums. Just sounds like a bunch of teens are sad/jealous that people with laced accounts are getting free membership, who cares? It's Jagex's game try can grant membership to whoever they want for whatever reason they want even if it's for dumb reasons. I think these kids are just sad they aren't maxed/have to spend a few extra bucks every month….

In addition, what will Jagex be able to do about this? They can't exactly delete items in game, because people have legitimately earnt those items, so the extra items still exists, and giving the players back their money as compensation will just anger the other players… The only possible solution is to ban the bug abusers. That essentially deletes the extra cash (and more) benefiting the economy.

Sooner or later they'll have to realise that this game is far too bugged for a game of this size. They need to start initiating test servers, that literally test everything, otherwise people will be able to find glitches that seriously harm the game

Well said. As for the guy who said he doesnt understand the glitch.. let me explain:

What happened was jagex "fixed" the ring of wealth so that it drops items more often and tells u when it helped a drop.. thing is, for boss monsters the ring was at 100% drop rate… so the boss monsters in rs will drop their top drops 100% of the time.. IE: bandos will drop either tasset, godsword, bcp 100% of the time for every kill u do..

Corp beast will drop sigils 100% of the time.. so clans knew this and went to kill boss monsters essentially gaining BILLIONS! in just 45 minutes… Jagex found out about this glitch 45 minutes too late and each clan gain approx. 5.2+ B… note this happened for every boss monster in every world.. so when billions enter the game in such a short time, EVERYTHING will crash. Thus players are attempting to strike on items that jagex messed up… Ie: Climbing boots, ring of wealth, and any messed up item price u can thing of.. Until they fix it. P.S. Even when U soloed, u got the rarest drop every single time..

As for the free memberships, I dont care about it tbh.. but ppl are raging because they thing they deserve one too.. At least they think memberships shouldnt be given out for helping others. (no reward)

The other glitches, the posts got locked and hidden.. Not sure why since the ring of wealth IMO was definitely the worst of them.. but maybe the other posts got out of hand :S

Ring of wealth update was a terrible idea but maybe they will learn eventually, at least the updates aren't the dirt that they were from 08-10.

The forum post isn't really signicifact, however the ROW bug was pretty messed up. But, from the perspective of someone pretty poor, i'm hoping to snag some crashed items!

Jagex has been going down hill lately, on top of that both free and member worlds are, plain and simple, over-run with bots. You might think I'm crazy, but I think Jagex might be in serious trouble soon. Something's gotta' give…

I think after about 50% of the updates there is another update in a few hours because the new update contains a bug…

I'm glad they updated RoW, since it was impossible to know how useful it was.

If Jagex continues to screw up like this, there isn't going to be a RuneScape in the near future.

jagex seems to be trying to hard to give everyone what they want.. just messes up the game even more..

Guys, guys, all this means is that there will be inflation. It will change the USD - RSGP rate and will make people who keep all of their wealth in gold poorer. Big whoop?

I feel like a lot of crap has been going on since the whole free trade and wildy coming back. The game just needs some time to settle out and let everyones hype go out and then see how Jagex moves on from there.

exactly. at what 4.5$/1 mill is a lot of rw money for all the bills they got from the drops. not to mention even if they kept all that gp it ruins the game. thank god theres still a limit for trade ammounts in ge. (althought its fknin me over perosnally atm.) ….
