Simba crashing?

I've got 5 players ready to mine at VEM but when I set everything up and Run, it works for a while (~2 mins?) and then I get the message that "Simba has stopped working" and I need to close it (the screen freezes).

It's not a problem with memory, nor CPU, nor GPU since I've got all of them sufficient.

This doesn't happen with any other scripts >.<

Run it through the command prompt.

From: Coh3n
Hit the Windows Key + R. The Run windows should appear.
Type in cmd, hit enter.
The command prompt should come up.
Type in cd "Simba.exe path here" (for me, it's cd c:/simba) and hit enter.
Type in simba.exe and hit enter.
Simba should now pop up and you'll see all the debug stuff in the command prompt.

Not sure how MSI could have caused this, but do what i luffs yeww said and please post the output.

Does that happen every time?

Flight

My vote is still either Reflection or Smart. MSI, as an option, has already been eliminated. I made some color scripts for testing my ACR and and it had nothing to do with reflection, but I had ran it on Smart quite a bit, and had no problems. It wasn't until I used just a tiny bit of reflection for object finding that I ran into the same problem as you.

No, I just happened to catch it that time.

It happens to me all the time… I reinstalled and all but still. Ill try with cmd prompt again

I'm guessing everyone who has this issue will have a similar error message as the one NCDS posted. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what that means. I'll try to get a hold of Wizzup, or someone who will know.

Running for like 12 hrs now from cmd prompt, seems to work.

How's the memory usage?

Ill try to run MSI and let you know about the cmd and the mem.

By mem you mean cpu usage right?

Memory != CPU
He means your RAM. ;)

Well every-time I run MSI i get a 100% CPU usage then the form pops up then it goes back to normal. After I press run it just stops working.

What exactly do you mean by "just stops working"?

Yago

2011-03-11 20:25:28

"Simba.exe is not working."

Then theres a button that says close this program and i press it wait a couple secs and then it closes.

Been haveing this problem for over 2 weeks with MSI.

Have you tried running it without the form?

That happens with any script basically.

The main reason I'm not blaming Simba right away is because this didn't happen at the time as a Simba update, but rather a few weeks later. It would be a bit weird if people got issues with it only weeks later.

Hey Wiz, I just remembere that Simba "Not Responding" Erros didn't come on Older Simba, but with 0.96 Installer. Were there some big changes?

Something that comes to mind is to try to disable the updater extensions and see if the problems disappears.

This is what I had suggested on the crashing thread I made. One option I came up with was the possibility of either Simba/Reflection (or Smart?) trying to automatically update and somehow that was tied in with the problem. Still no confirmation on my end though.

Nope, if i disable the extension updaters it still bugs :(

Memory usage stays generally the same. Doesn't always happen while the script is working either, but rather whenever you try to interact with Simba.

Ex:
Script finishes
Click Simba to look at debug
Access Violation alert box pops up
Regardless what option is picked Simba closes.

Ok. Ill try it without the form and let you know what happens. Then ill try the debug simba and give post it.

Edit: Ok so reinstalled for the third time and miraculously MSI is working. Ill try running other scripts to see if they are the cause of MSI failing or something.

Edit2: Guess what it crashed again… So I tried without the MSI form and kept getting this error:

Same on the cmd window

Same thing happened to me when I used the debug version of Simba. I made a temporary fix, and I'll push it to the main repository now. When your MSI updates, you should be fine.

E: Although, for whatever reason, the player remote doesn't compile with the debug version of Simba.

E2: Also, please address this thread for any issues with Simba crashing.
