Fuck it, just make him an Admin.

I heard Obama smoked a joint when he was 16, I think he should never be able to become a president.
On topic, I'm a bit indifferent. Perhaps I'll have a more clear vote later.

That was my thought at first too. Although, I also second guessed that with the fact that he has been rather constructive and mature this time around.
However, the fact that I need to end that last statement with "this time around" says something as well. I could probably go back and forth on this for a while honestly…
I'm not going to vote for now.
Edit: How long ago was the last time he was banned? It doesn't seem like it was all that long.

I haven't been around here recently enough to see truly what he's like now, so for that reason I won't vote.
However, if I was to base a vote off of what I've seen of Harry, I would say no, and say it quite aggressively. In previous years, he's been a disgrace to the community. Okay, his fight cave runner made him popular with the lower ranks, but I seem to remember the higher ranks being indefinitely irritated by him.
In addition, I don't think allowing someone SSRL with a past like that gives off a great image really. But then again, this is similar to allowing users back into members after a perm ban, and I know many users think that it's fair to do so (probably justly, I'm just a bit harsh and unforgiving). Oh, and he has done many things that should forbid him from members, let alone SSRL.
But yeah, staying neutral…
From: Nava2
Get rid of him, even his avatar is racist. Like common, I know he is stuck at members, but he is such a pain in the sides of so many people, is it really worth while to have him here?
Does he REALLY contribute? Or does he consistently find himself on the wrong side of arguments.
Curious about the bolded part. Was he "sentenced" to remain at SRL-Members rank without ability to progress through the ranks?
I think that he should really have to prove himself to be granted access to SSRL. If SSRL is to be a group of individuals who are looked up to and supposed to set the example for others, I don't know as 'recruiting' someone with such an unstable past is the best decision.
I personally have
nothing against harry what so ever. In fact, I've thought that recently he has done quite well here at the forums, but with a past as notorious as his I don't think anyone should jump to conclusions.
I've personally only really noticed his mature actions in the recently past months, it may have began earlier than that though. If he remains to be as constructive and mature on the forums as he is being, than I say yes. It just seems to me that not so long ago at all, he was causing problems, yet again. (could very well just be me though.)

I'd agree that him "proving himself more than anyone" is an exaggeration.
I still voted yes for him because I think his recent attitude this past half year or so is quite befitting for SSRL expectations and his contributions in the scripting and community aspects.
Though like many of you I wouldn't be surprised if something goes horribly wrong…

21:10:26 <Harri> yo
21:10:36 <Harri> can you add user checking on /manage/script/ on stats
21:10:38 <Harri> when you get time
21:10:41 <Harri> user validation*
21:10:52 <Harri> as in, any user can go to http://stats.villavu.com/manage/script/21 (or any
script they don't own) and add vars
21:11:05 <Harri> which is rilie bad :3
21:37:27 <Wizzup> eh, really?
21:37:27 -!- Harri is away: Away.
21:37:39 <Wizzup> lol, will check in a bit
21:37:39 <Wizzup> sec.
22:56:44 <Wizzup> Will check after I finish my thesis proposal
And there's a lot more like this. To be honest I quite trust him these days.

I'm not sure that I will ever really put his old silliness behind me completely, but is really that big of a deal if the only reason is that you dont trust him because of his past behavior? If that's the case, let him in and if he gets wily, you either demote him again or give him the boot.
Saying no because of his current attitude is alright, but the past is that past and its always undoable.

I distinctly remember Harry doing something which led to a thread being made that he will never be promoted above SRL member (using a stolen script to apply for members or something). However, this was 4 years ago, I vote yes.

Well, that was a fifty-fifty split of guilt on each cycrosism and Harry's side.
Sure, it was an idiotic script kiddie moment of him, but it was also idiotic of cycrosism to actually run the line.
And, this was a
really long time ago.

I do understand that he's changed, and i voted yes because in this setting, i think i agree if i don't look to hard at some of his past posts. But I'm sure a lot of people in prison feel really bad about it after and change their behavior, but they aren't let out until their time is up. Just some food for thought because i can see both sides to the argument of letting him in.

That was Da 0wner, I joined a forum of his with an alternate to my password on SRL. I later logged onto my account, and saw some pages read which I hadn't read personally. I confronted him, he admitted. This was about 18 months ago now, but I
definitely wouldn't have allowed him back in.
Sorry about that offtopic there, but I don't agree with people who have previously committed such offences being allowed into high ranking areas of SRL.

Been on my mind for a while now.
As much as I used to hate the guy, and resent the thought of him being SSRL, I actually kind of respect him now.
Over the past few weeks especially, he's been the one I've seen the most urging Wizzup to commit changes and promoting other such development work.
