Technically my second script, but my first was more of a dummy script to test ACR (Here). This script doesn't make you any money, nor does it cost anything more than an axe/tinderbox. The free worlds are currently swamped with resource-gathering bots, so it's nice to make a script that doesn't fall into this category.

  • RSC style firemaking
  • No buying logs
  • Run it anywhere with regular trees
  • No levels required
  • Uses ACR

This script, in essence, will cut normal trees and light the logs on fire, and if you can't light the fire in your position because of other objects such as another fire, then you'll simply drop the logs and move on to the next tree. This is a wonderful script for just-starting-out levels in both Woodcutting and Firemaking, as you're sure to excel in both.

How to use it:
Start near alot of normal trees with a tinderbox and the axe of your choosing.
How not to use it:

Note: I only made it single player and did not add a 'break' system as this is only beta, but both should be fairly easy to add if you wish to do so yourself. As far as anti-ban goes this script is already very human-like. The tree-finding uses a combination of reflection and color, reflection to find the base tile of the tree, color to find a 'clickable' point afterwards. Pretty smart if I do say so myself. :p

Post progress reports and suggestions…and bugs, I'm sure they will be many. :( Cheers and happy scorching!

That's pretty sick. I made one of these that would buy the willows from the lumby general store and burn behind and repeat back in 2008 when bots just sold them there all day.

One thing I quickly saw: in your script setup proc, you set a lot of things := 0 or false. Thats not necessary since you haven't used them yet.

I was wondering about that, I didn't know if declaring variable automatically set them to 0 or if it's done Java-style (-1). Thanks for the heads up, but it's not worth modifying.

I'd suggest using SRL functions for your camera angles (highest angle -> SetAngle(True), North compass -> SetCompass('N'), etc).

SRL camera angles aren't random, they're a set 0/90/180/270 degree factor, also logging in to runescape automatically sets your camera to north so that makes 'setcompass('n')' invalid.

So no thanks Harry, I like it exactly how I have it, I did this for a reason.

If you take a look at the SetCompass procedure, you could easily make it go somewhere between, say, 70-120 for East…. Your way is less safe in my opinion. Whatever works best for you.

Why do you think it's less safe? Mine creates a random angle based on the object's position in accordance to your player's current view of the north-to-central bound area every time, and it's yet to fail me.

what hes saying is you can tell srl's make compass any direction you want. it's fine determining what angle you need to be facing, but he recomends to use MakeCompass().

I havent read your script, so I'm just assuming :)
